Dutch FA president Van Praag is set to challenge that ****ing crooked dinosaur Sep Blatter for the FIFA presidency. It's about time somebody ousted him, the reputation of FIFA has gone down the chute with Blatter in charge, with bribes, rigged voting and all sorts of dodgy shenanigans tarnishing the organisation

I don't know much about Van Praag but he was chairman at Ajax for a number of years and they are one of the most admirable clubs in Europe. David Ginola is also rumoured to be announcing himself as a candidate, but may not get the necessary votes to stand.

Hopefully a change of Presidency can repair the reputation of FIFA which has sadly become synonymous with corruption.

glad someone decent is running against Blatter. He's been clueless as head of FIFA for far too long. The game needs to be brought into the modern world with regards to technology and corruption. It shouldn't be run by someone who has no idea what either of those things mean either.

still think it should be someone younger though, who has actually played the game in the not too distant past.

    Ginola ?

Personally I think somebody like Eric Cantona would make an excellent candidate.

I think the Prince from Jordan is the best candidate and I worry that having too much opposition may splinter the opposition vote against Blatter and mean no one gets enough votes to beat him!

On the other hand its good to see an FA from Europe step up to him!

Greg Dyke is apparently considering whether to offer the FA's support to the Jordanian candidate, because he seems best placed to oust Blatter. Fair play to Dyke he has come out and said that he wants Blatter out. The man is living in his own bubble and his time was up a long time ago to be honest. He reminds me of Burlosconi, somebody who is mired in corruption, but brazenly carries on regardless.
