    Good Morning Everyone,

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy has been stirring the pot saying how he cannot believe how he snapped up Noel Hunt on a freebee.

“I wonder what other people didn’t see in him which meant we could get him for nothing,” said McCarthy. “I think his performances, even taking away the goals, have been very, very good.

“Like his brother (Stephen) he’s just a great character to have around. They’re completely nuts! It’s great, I love it.”

With the ink still drying on the N'Goyi and Bamba transfers, are we set to see some players head towards the exits? Both Austin and Pearce are said to be of interest to Brighton, Millwall and Wigan!

What do these clubs all have in common?

They are all fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table (along with us)!

Should we be selling our players to our nearest rivals?

Look at Noel Hunt, Tom Lees and Luke Varney to name but a few players that are playing a lot better now they have left us!

Imagine it came down to the last game of the season, and the team directly below us had an ex Leeds player who wanted to make a point about how badly he was treated. Could you see this happening?

Can you see any of the bottom three escaping relation?

    16 Bolton 26 -4 33
    17 Charlton 27 -10 32
    18 Reading 26 -11 30
    19 Brighton 27 -5 29
    20 Leeds 27 -10 29
    21 Rotherham 26 -12 26
    22 Millwall 26 -19 23
    23 Wigan 27 -10 21
    24 Blackpool 27 -29 17

Good morning to Matt and co from a cloudy Cote de Bardsey
I wonder how the Mighty can justfy such a sweeping statement that he has just made but then I didnt bet Bradford and Boro would win on Saturday thats what you chances are!
#Ithink that the writing is on the wall for Austin and Pearce now and at least we should get a fee for both of them
As for our other loanees is it just me but dont you think our leader has been very astute because by the time the seasons over the Euro could be done to 66p from 75p or I am just saying the obvious but if you take Adryan for example we probably needed 500k more when we signed him than what will be required in June
Bamba will be a great addition for his brutal desire to win lets hope Geanddi lives up to his sell on fee of 2m euros

    Morning Mike,

Austin is playing particularly well at the moment. I wouldn't want him being the difference in a team below us in the table wining instead of drawing.

    Morning all

I really don't think Celino care where out player go as long he get rid and bring in his 2nd rate Italian league players. The sooner they're gone the better for him I'm guessing.

Let McCarthy say what he wants. Hunt wasn't very good for us so not sad to see the back of him. If he does really well at Ipswich and reignites his career god for him. It just wasn't meant to be so for us and him.

Mike, I hope this "brutal desire" to win does not mean he will spend a fair bit of time being suspended !

As for the bottom 3 escaping, with lack of points on the board Blackpool need a miracle.
After that its probably the head to head with the other bottom 6 teams that could decide their fate.

I did a quick check on the fixture list and came up with the following head to heads.

Teams in CAPITALS mean playing them at HOME. Some team have a lot of away fixtures against rivals for the drop.
BKP have all HOME games against other bottom teams apart from MIL...but I think it will be too late.

CHA: ROT wig bkp REA mil LEE
BRG : bkp LEE rea mil rot wig
LEED: rea MIL brg wig bkp cha ROT
ROTH: cha MIL WIG BRG REA lee
MILL: REA lee rot BRG CHA WIG
WIG: rea CHA bkp LEE rot mil BRG
BKP: BRG WIG CHA LEE REA

Leeds United are set to complete a deal to sign Albanian striker Edgar Cani, according to Sport Witness.

Leeds are moving closer to signing Cani on loan

Cani, 25, currently plies his trade for Italian outfit Catania, and Leeds are set to hold talks to conclude a deal for the striker in the next few hours.

The 6ft 4 striker looks set to join the Elland Road outfit on-loan until the end of the season, and will provide another dimension to the current forwards at the Yorkshire club.

The 25-year-old has accumulated 14 appearances this season for Catania, scoring three goals, but he now looks set for a switch to the Sky Bet Championship.

Cani is a former Albania international, and has accrued four times for Albania, but the striker has not been called up for the national team since 2013

Big Sol and his mate have played next to fook all games all season, and this new striker has scored 4 in 14. I'm not blown away by these so far and I hope I'm worried about nothing. If Sol Bamba was such a good player why lower league Scottish clubs and then the foxes? Worried guys but I hope I'm wrong

Hope the new signings work out ... with regard to the likes of Hunt and Varney playing better since they left, that's because they couldn't cope with the pressure of playing for Leeds United ... different expectations where they are now, e.g. if Ipswich don't go up it won't be the end of the world ...

one of our biggest problems - getting in players with the right mentality to play for Leeds, players who can cope with teams wanting to beat them EVERY game (yes, it's THEIR Cup Final) ... players who are able to consistently raise their game both mentally and physically to cope with the expected onslaught come match day ... players who don't fall apart after making a mistake ... Varney never recovered from missing THAT open goal, and he was never going to be a star at Leeds after that ... the pressure at Leeds is unique, and we need quality professionals to play for us

Afternoon all - Ngoyi sounds promising but then I thought Sloth did too and it is taking him time to find his feet and Adryan sounded even better before we brought him but now he can't even get in the team. We need experience and we sold that with Warnock and you have to assume it was down to wages.

Bamba seems a strange one, I hope he is able to get up to match fitness pretty swiftly and Cani sounds like another Doukara to me, like Doc I hope I am wrong. We struggle near the foot of the table, we manage to get 4 very good points against good opposition and when you feel things might be turning the corner for the better we bring in three questionable loan players and when you look at who isn't making the team you have to wonder why.

Ristac, if we somehow signed Messi you'd be claiming that he didn't have Championship experience, was too lightweight for our midfield, or should have blonde hair or something equally as trivial. Turn off the negativity for a short while & tell us who we should be signing (bearing in mind player & funds availability. I suspect you may struggle to do any better.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds are keeping track of Stoke City midfielder Jamie Ness as the Scot continues to impress on loan at Crewe Alexandra.

The Whites may have signed Palermo enforcer Granddi Ngoyi on Monday, that doesn't appear to have stopped Leeds scouts from watching Ness.

The 23-year-old was considered to be the next big thing whilst with Rangers, but left the club on a free transfer in 2012, signing for Stoke City.

However, the former Scotland Under-21 international has played just one game for the Potters, and that came in a League Cup tie two-and-a-half years ago.

Instead, Ness has been out on loan with Crewe Alexandra this season, and has turned in a number of impressive displays, scoring twice in 18 games from midfield.

Unsurprisingly, his exploits at Gresty Road have triggered interest from other clubs - at least, that's what the Daily Mail suggest.

They are today reporting that Ness is now a target for Leeds United, as well as Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United as interest in the Scot grows.

So I agree with the comments of Doc and you decide to direct your question at me, can I ask why and why not Doc?

    1) I said Ngoyi sounds promising, why is that negative?
    2) I wouldn't bother with Cani or Bamba as I believe we have equal or better quality players already available.
    3) I have said it before, I wouldn't bother signing or selling anyone this transfer window, with the embargo in place I would have waited until the end of the season however if we can sign someone of the quality of Ngoyi yes go for it.
    4) Define trivial?

Signing a striker who has scored 4 goals in 19 games or 8 goals in 52 games who has never played in the Championship and a defender passed his peak, who has played just one game this season, I don't call that a trivial concern and I think you will find a lot of other fans agreeing.

Former Leeds United forward Mike Grella is trailing with the New York Red Bulls ahead of the 2015 MLS season, according to local outlet BigAppleSoccer.com.

Grella, 28, spent last season in the US second-tier with the Carolina RailHawks after returning to the States from Europe, scoring two goals in seven NASL appearances.

The New York-native has now joined up with the Red Bulls for preseason, as he attempts to impress the coaching staff enough to earn a spot on the roster for the coming campaign.
