Must like the lower leagues - he also had a successful spell with St. Mirren, where he was quite highly thought of.
A blast from the past - just spotted that Liam Henderson is now plying his trade for Spennymoor Town in the Evo-Stik Div 1 North. Top scorer last season with 47 goals, and has scored 20 so far this season. Who'da thunk it?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30933201 Perhaps he will live up to his promotional video at Reading.
I don't think it has been mentioned but W4BS has moved from Portsmouth to Wimbledon. He is 37 now. Must have wasted all his money.
At the risk of embarrassing myself I would call the last goal the winner. Am I alone in that? If so, I'll get me coat...
Have to be quick, haven't they gone out of business? Regardless of which goal it was, he's all over the papers. Always liked him, but struggled in the Championship.
Probably - at League level anyway. The last I heard of him was that he was having a trial with Southend at the start of this season - seems to have dropped under the radar though...
Watford Ladies play Oxford Utd Ladies, whose coach is Les Taylor. Does anyone know if that is the LesTaylor?
that like saying messy played at watford well watford has play against cambrige and man u played there and man u has played against messy lol
In fairness Les Taylor did play at Oxford and did well enough to be fondly remembered there although he had lost a bit of pace since being injured at Watford. GT eventually replaced him with Brian Talbot from Arsenal.
Played for us for around 3 years - best known for scoring the winner against Plymouth Argyle on the night we made sure of promotion from Div. 3 in 1969 - although as I noted in the "best Watford performance thread", the ball hit the crossbar but never actually crossed the line. He never really established himself in the team although he was a cultured midfielder who passed the ball well. His last starting appearance was at Portsmouth on Easter Monday 72 in a 2-2 draw - one of only 5 away points (all draws) garnered in 21 games during that dreadful season. I believe he is now living in Seattle.
