And he says the same thing and it never ends. In the meantime everyone else is bored to tears and leaves to go elsewhere. Is that what you want? Yes, I agree. HIAG exists for these little arguments. It becomes tedious when 2 posters beome obsessed with each other and wont drop it. HIAG is posting on the Chelsea board without any problems that I can see, so it's Piskie's determination to "rinse" HIAG that leads to all of this tedium. HIAG could be the bigger man and drop it also. Most of us have made up our mind who wins these arguments (Piskie it's silver imo I'm afraid) and there is no value is repeating them ad nauseum.
Anyway, let's get back to the football. SD, your inane comments are cluttering up this thread so I'm going to repost my last one: Ok let's try it and see if HIAG can refrain from talking **** and engage with the OP : I think the title is Chelsea's to lose, that's pretty clear. Even losing to the Spuds, that looked like a blip in their season (although Bradford went one better and hammered them at home) but I think they'll have too much for the premier league and City look like they are blowing hot and cold this season. I think Arsenal will finish 2nd in the London clubs, somewhere in the top 4, either 3rd or 4th. A lot depends on how much luck Utd get, like Spurs they have been winning games that they could easily have dropped points from. Arsenal look like they might have just put that ragged first half of the season behind them, now that our injured players are coming back, Koscielny, Ozil, Walcott, Rosicky we have some options. Also we've just signed another CB, so we have some decent cover at the back now. Cazorla and Sanchez are two of the best players in the prem at the moment and I think they'll carry us through for the rest of the season. West Ham have been going great this season, but can they keep it up for the second half of the season ? It remains to be seen, but there's no reason why not. If they can get Andy Carroll scoring a few more, then they could really push on. Spurs have been riding their luck this season and to be honest, they could very easily been down in mid table but for a few late winners, some favourable ref decisions and an over reliance on Harry Kane. I think the battle for 3rd and 4th best London club will be between Spurs and West Ham, but it's too close to call.
How come we rely on Kane but you aren't over reliant on Sanchez? Cazorla played really well against City - no arguing - but before that you were a one man team. Ozil and Walcott may change that, but Ozil in particular was becoming anonymous prior to his injury. So it will be fascinating. Over the next month I think you will pull away from us, the longer we stay close behind the better. But to have any chance of staying with you, we need to up our levels and we definitely have to beat you at WHL. West Ham will end up mid table, below us. Chelsea are strange. Neither they nor City look great at the moment, so they could blow it. If they beat City in their next game though, I think they are too far ahead to be caught.
We have Sanchez, Cazorla, Rosicky and when fit and on form Ramsey and Wilshere who can all pull the strings. Then we have Walcott, Giroud and Welbeck up front who can finish the chances those players create (Sanchez, Cazorla and Rosicky have all been scoring too). I think we have far better options that Spurs, our trouble has come from shoddy defending due to the fact that we lost Debuchy and Kos and had to play Monreal at CB ! I think you underestimate West Ham though. Fat Sam has got them playing some decent football and they have gone half the season playing well and are up there with you. If they build a head of steam in the FA cup, then it could also translate to their league ambitions. I think it's too close to call between Spurs and West ham for London's 3rd and 4th best clubs.
I'd agree about Wet Spam. Whether my luck or by judgement, he's got himself a pretty well balanced side. Like us, at the moment though, his options are pretty limited if he gets some injuries to key players.
I think that's the issue with West Ham, if they get injures then their squad doesn't really have the depth. Having said that does Spurs' ? Certainly in attacking terms, without Kane you look pretty toothless. Adebayor seems to be on a permanent holiday and Soldado can't hit cow's arse with a Banjo.
I think I have every right to think such a thing, after penning my skit about you and the postman, and suggesting that you would be played by Johnny Vegas should the Beeb take up the rights. I'm betting that more than a few people chortled at that. It's just a bit of harmless banter, PESKIE; I really cannot understand why you get so upset about it.
Laughing at your buffoonery is not getting upset petal. Anyway can you please try to stay on topic from now on
West Ham are away to West Brom in the FA cup, Fulham have a tricky away tie to giant killers Bradford if they win their replay. Palace are at home to either Liverpool or Bolton and Arsenal are at home to Middlesbrough, who will be full of confidence after beating City at the Etihad. Good to see so many London clubs still in the FA cup, obviously nobody expected Chelsea to go out, but that is the magic of the FA cup. Arsenal, West Ham and Palace are all going great guns in the premier league now and a good cup run could transfer to prolong good premier league form.
back on topic then imo the London clubs will end up like: Chelsea win EPL Arsenal 3rd in EPL Spurs 4th in EPL West Ham 7th in EPL i think City will finish 2nd just above us, man utd 5th as i think they will drop points, and Southampton 6th as they will drop points.
Spurs 4th ? They could get it, but I think Utd will finish above them. Also I wound't underestimate Southampton, they've had a bit of a wobble recently but they are still looking strong. I wouldn't be surprised if both Utd and Southampton finish above the Spuds.
no i think both could drop points and Spuds seem to have a chance of 4th if they can keep Kane scoring
Maybe ? The Spuds have been riding their luck this season and I thought the game against Palace started to see some of that luck run out. They are entirely beatable by any team on their day, as Leicester proved. Kane is a quality player, but if he gets injured/fatigued, then I can't see Adebayor and Soldado getting the goals they need. Utd might be ****e this season, but they always have the likes of RVP, Rooney, Di Maria and Mata who can get them the goals they need. Southampton too have managed to find the net when they've needed to. One thing is for certain, it's going to be a pulsating race for the top 4
It doesn't have to be the centre forward scoring goals - as you know with Sanchez. Eriksen and Chadli have weighed in with goals, and I hope Lamela/Townsend will get more as the season goes on.
Townsend doesn't strike me as a natural goalscorer and Erikson tends to be more of a playmaker. Sanchez is so good that he can basically play wherever he wants.
