Taken from a Blackpool fans forum:

    Sky Sports....Stelling " don't know what's going on at Vicarage Road... Watford haven't scored for 3 or 4 minutes"......:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Watson I'd thought would add grit to the midfield. Interesting that he was busy and wanted the ball but also looked a footballer, neat touch, good control and careful passing.

One for the stattoes - what's the highest aggregate score for any game where all the goals were scored at the same end?

Answering that would be a somewhat daunting task...

Ok, we're looking at games of ten or more goals and noting times of goals scored. Any games where team A scored all their goals at 0-45 mins and team B scored all theirs at 46-90 mins.
I suppose it gets a bit fluffy around the end of the first half I.e. Does 46 mean stoppage time in the first half?
Anyway, chuck that algorithm into the number muncher. Simple. <confused>

46 min was always the second half. All goals scored in the first half were recorded as 45. All this 45+2 malarkey is a relatively new phenomenon. Apologies if I appear to be teaching how to suck eggs, not my intention at all.

Phil Thompson said we went from "cabbage to caviar" football and "by this time they're playing like Real Madrid" which is a trifle flattering perhaps.

Maybe so - but you did say any game - by which I presumed you meant any club, and all the games that they had played....

I know where I could find all the scores - but the timing of the goals?

Didn't get back home until 8 yesterday and was cream crackered. With the kids today so only got a chance to post just now. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that! (Couldn't see much at all for the first half hour from the SEJ due to the sun - probably a blessing! ). First half Blackpool worked so hard, just didn't give us time on the ball. Needed that half-time sub and it was just amazing from there. Every attack where balls just didn't work first half, seemed to just carve them open and the 3 super strikers (and Angella) did the rest. All 9 goals at one end was bizarre, but with the succession of corners it could have been more. At H-T I was saying to my son (who hadn't seen a win yet) 'why do I bring you to these games?'. By the end we couldn't believe we'd seen 7 Watford goals. A great afternoon (in the end!)

Very flattering - Real don't have the bottle to do what we did yesterday!

One Blackpool blogger says that they were very lucky to be two up at half time. He said that our one touch football was not quite working but it was clearly dangerous to them. One point that Blackpool fans have made is that our first goal was offside, twice. Seeing it on the highlights I see what they mean, though highlights do not show the width of the pitch. Thoughts please.

Well I reckon their second, our opener and Ighalo's third were all offside. I thought the assistant on the GT wing had an absolute shocker. I didn't think the referee had a good game either, bottled an obvious penalty and was far too lenient on some late niggly fouls and poor time keeping.

Unlike last week's officials who were conspicuous by their absence.... the hallmark of good refereeing.

Looking closely at the tackle that robbed the Blackpool defender for our 7th (yes 7th!), it looks as if he was fouled. Certainly he looked up at the referee and half raised his hands to appeal - but then gave up, resigned to fate......

I like Layun. Seems to have time on the ball, unhurried, plays simple. Plus I think we are only seeing the Layun that is just settling into a new club and a new country. I think he will improve
