After the way he played yesterday I couldn't care less if we sell him or not. If we get £9 million for him, then that would be great news.

We really need to buy Bony's replacement and Jordan Rhodes isn't the bloody answer.

Finding a replacement for Bony would tax most Club's, and I can't see us achieving it,short term, anyway.
Gomis is a big disappointment, and looks out of his depth, and out of place. Sad.
    Agree re Rhodes.

Of course, whoever we sign won't be a Bony level/quality striker (unless we find another gem) but we need a much better striker than the options we currently have.

If be making cheeky bids for other people's strikers. Steven Fletcher, Loic Remy, even a cheeky cheap offer for Michael Kightly (if he's fit). I think those sorts of players are what we can afford.

House hunting? Such a cliche´. I've wanted so much for Gomis to do well because he has talent but I'm rapidly losing patience with the guy. He works hard, isn't lazy but snatches at shots and his finishing is very suspect unless he has time on the ball and he won't get that in the Prem. Couple that with mouthing off to the press and it's no wonder he's not got many fans here. It may be time to cash in.

We have lots of money in the bank and although Huw will be reluctant to spend in January I think he might have to.

Oliveira put in more effort in his 15 minute cameo than Gomis did all match. He was playing as if we had 11 men

Just **** him off packing to whoever wants him. The guy is a lazy waste of space and is tainting the shirt he wears with no pride on a Saturday.

We can't sell him.........we'd be massively out of pocket. We are stuck with him,why do you think Monk says he trusts him to come good.

I can't believe the amounts or even the clubs rumoured to be involved could be true. They must have seen him play surely!

Taken at face value his and his agent's antics are incredibly unprofessional and that alone should put off other clubs. Saying that, if someone did make a decent offer I'd get shot straight away and make do with Oli and Emnes up front. It looks like we're going to struggle over the line even with Gomis playing.

The thing is he has laid the blame for wanting to move on Monk, Monk is not highly thought of in management circles as he is new and most other managers only know him from what they read which August / September apart has been controversial. Gomis just needs to point at his previous scoring record as an indication he's got plenty to offer.

I'm not sure his scoring record is that incredible or he wouldn't have played for just two French clubs until age 29. Even if Monk has "mislead" him (what is the truth?) then he should still be handling this with more professionalism. Or keep his agent in check.

A goal for every 3.3 appearances in France isn't shabby and a lot better than he's managed for us for which he is largely placing blame on Monk.
I'm not defending him just seeing the situation from another perspective.
