    Way back when (1973 or so) when I was a long haired student, I was stood at a bus stop somewhere in North London, and a little old lady tugged on the sleeve of my coat and said:
    " 'Ere, are you Charlie George?"
    I was tempted to make her day and say yes, so she could go round all her cronies and say " You'll never guess who I saw at a bus stop today..."
    But something stopped me. Questions remained. What would Mr George be doing travelling by bus? But mostly, what if she was a Spurs fan?
