Some big news coming I think, as there is usually more than 1 article published by HDM every day by this time in a morning, they must be working on something big. Or Peter Swan could be writing his article, we'll be waiting until 11pm tonight before the **** coming out his brain turns into words on a page, something along the lines of "Who needs a striker when we have Jakupovic". Or there could be absolutely no news at all, which will probably be the case.

 

Agreed, we won't avoid relegation without additions, as the injured players will obviously needs games before they're fully effective, and we don't have that time

 

I do wonder if Bruce was to come in at the 12 th hour with a bid for McManaman, it would test his resolve? I doubt it given the fee involved, but Bruce did give him his debut at Wigan.

 

If we can't afford £6m for Gestede, who plays in a position we are desperate for cover, then I highly doubt we'd come in for a player we really don't need at a similar price.

 

If that's the case then I think we should start planning for next season in the Championship.

 

With clubs getting knocked out of the FA cup at the weekend they might think they no longer need such a big squad and release some players to go out on loan

Today's HDM saying that we only have money available to pay for a loan signing sound's like deliberate misinformation to me, Malky Mackay has said that we enquired about McManaman, so unless we were hoping to pay in magic beans or Mackay is lying there must be some money in the pot.
