There is no way Bournemouth will be selling anyone. They are owned by someone with some serious cash and on the cusp of promotion themselves
They're not really on the cusp, they're top, but there are 3 points seperating the top 5 sides. If they don't make it and we stay up, he could be a viable option.
Apparently we put an offer in for Mcmanaman yesterday, which has forced West Brom to make a move for him. Sounds like we're getting a striker on the cheap or on loan.
We seem to be sharing a lot of transfer targets with WBA. I wonder if we wanted to force them to make a move to keep them from bidding on players we really want.
Nah. I think the news was that Spurs had changed their mind over a loan deal. I can't see it happening anyway, I highly doubt he'll want to leave London and some dick club like QPR will probably get him.
Didn't see any news on Lennon at all today , isn't he a Yorkshire lad ? Still don't see it happening though
Newcastle have put a £4mill bid in for N'doye however it seems to of gone quiet on the gestede side of things! Somebody said we should go for F.Campbell which I laughed off, if he hadn't been such a d******d.....id of gone for him and I still think Bruce might go back in for him
I don't care how much of a **** he is, if he scores the goals to keep us up, he can nut the pope for all I care. Just seen that Joel Campbell has gone on loan to Valencia as part of the Paulista to Arsenal deal, so that's another forward we aren't getting. Options are rapidly running out, but one name I'd totally forgotten about was Chuba Akpom, who aside from having the best name ever is very highly rated by Arsenal. He has yet to score a goal in senior football, but at the minute, I'd take Ched Evans if it meant the back of the opposition net rustling.
I've heard that we are signing nobody. Not that we don't want to but because the players we are interested in are far too costly and the loan options have disappeared. This leaves Mike Phelan to work miracles from next Saturday.
We won't get Campbell he doesn't want to spoil the memory of what he did here last time......remember ?
Not sure why it didn't reach the papers, but not everything gets printed. It turned out it was just about him not being interested in coming here. Anyway, this cheap striker we're after is..... Jelavic! Apparently we've had good news on his injury and he'll be due back sooner than expected. Not great news, as Jelavic has been out twice already this season with a knee problem - I'd still prefer us to bring a striker in, in case he gets injured again. Maybe we'll take a chance on a striker on loan?
He's been brought back early before and we all know how that ended, if he's brought back again before he's ready it'll be pure desperation, not to mention pure stupidity.
If we don't do anything before the window shuts, then I'd be surprised if we avoid relegation. Given how many games Jelavić and Hernandez have missed already this season.
