I think it's a good point you make about the attacking MF set up. Unfortunately, I don't think we've got any one who can play that role at our level (EPL) - I love to see Giacci on the pitch and think he could have caused some damage today but he's a bit lightweight and struggles a lot with the discipline required to back track when we don't have the ball. If Gus dares to try 3.4.1.2 with Giacci in the hole behind a fron 2 we might get the most out of him. Ricky looks like a good impact player but in the couple of games he's started he's been poor and can't be trusted to do the graft when we haven't got the ball. I would send him back to his home club - he doesn't seem to be match fit and we can't afford anymore deadweight in the squad. Gomez is a decent player but too slow in thought and deed to cut it at this level now. I'd love to see us bring in a powerful forward thinking MF who is willing to do the Seb yards with the Giacc trickery but they don't grow on trees so not sure where we would get that from. Still, 3 or 4 half chances that could have counted and once we get the first one I think we can go on a decent run and pull away from where we are at the minute.
Due to injury Giacc and Alzarez haven't had game time to get used to the this countries football, we will get some disappointment at first, but we're not giving them the chance to get beyond that so they're never going to be an asset to us at this rate. He doesn't mind giving Vergini and Coates game time so why not these lads? He'd rather give Buckley of Brighton and Gomez of Wigan game time over Giacc of Juventus and Alvarez of Inter. Gus Agreed to the Alvarez signing so what's he playing at?
Afternoon chaps, Leicester fan in peace! How did Defoe look at the weekend? Did he play 90 minutes? I was all set to get him in my FPL team for your kind upcoming fixtures, but blanking against Fulham has really put me off! I already have Adam Johnson, so think maybe Defoe too wouldn't be too wise... What do you think!?
He's looking ok, he'll score goals if given the service. You need to look at us a team though, we aren't creating many chances
