Our club is having a bad time at the minute...we are missing Lee Cattermole big style!But why is he not playing?He obviously must have an injury that needs a long time to fix,so,why are our club saying nothing?We have slid back into the relegation-battle and must use our home fixtures to our advantage.Surely that means playing positive football,and looking for wins,and not draws.Come back soon,Catts!!!
We need creative midfielders on the pitch instead of being unused on the bench. We're solid at a the back. Don't see how Catts returning will lead to us to creating more chances.
I agree and I'm sure he'll walk back into the side, but we've still been doing sound defensively with or without him, and we've still been creating nowt with or without him. Giacc's the man we need to be giving game time to imo.
It's incomprehensible to think the answer to our lack creativity would be actually playing our creative midfielders. No wonder Gus hasn't tried it.
I'd like to think Gus realises this and is resting him for what's quickly becoming a hugely important 3-4 weeks!?
Dunno Bri. Not sure we`ve got anybody better in the squad to break up an attack and get things going the other way.
Totally agree with that statement like.... However it's creativity (or lack of it) that's sadly missing at the moment.
imo it's because we've got no creative players to give it to mate. Catts can break up play and give it all day, but two passes later it's back with O'Shea, spreading it across the defence and advancing at a snail pace. Giacc actually turns goal facing and looks to advance with instinct, everyone else just taps backwards without turning or even looking for an attacking option.
I hope so, but because of injury both players haven't had the game time to truly learn the league. I think they need game time.
