Think the Adam fee is ok with the other 2 you have to consider their age. In 5 years time the fees will either be a bargin or you will be correct and the fees would have been madness.
I think Charlie Adam is a gamble. He played very well in a small team but once a player moves to a bigger club they often fail to step up. Carroll is decent but £35m is too much in my opinion. Henderson will probably be the best value signing of the 3.
average age of all three is just under 23- these are guys for the future. seems a lot at the moment but if we keep them for 4/5years+, they could work out as good value. whilst the FA youth cup 1992 united team was built through the academy, united's strength over the last 10years has been their basis on long-serving home grown players. with these signings, liverpool are hoping to provide a similar british long-term backbone to the team
20mill on Henderson is beyond a joke. A few good games and the sun shines out his arsehole. Carroll needs a haircut. You'd think englands most expensive footballer could afford that. Adam is a good buy at an acceptable price. Still doubt next season is 'liverpools year'
They could have bought Mata and Llorente for that much . Credit to them for buying British players but I would choose quality over nationality most times.
do you think those two would choose Anfield? to be fair I think like United they are trying to be cute with the purchasing, that said 65m is over the top
carroll - 16 mill adam - 8 mill henderson - 8 mill thats probably more like what theyre worth.about half of what was paid, basically.
