I need to wait to read it in print as I can't understand a word he says. He's one arrogant ****a, wouldn't mind if he could justify it.

Next Saturday is massive for Gus and for us. I think he didnt play giaccherini or alvarez today aymt risk of injury. I think one or both would have come on was it not for Rodwells dismissal and after that all we did was try not to concede. We really have to beat Burnley and then have a go at Fulham again next week. Before today I wasnt really bothered about the cup but it has opened up big style now. There is a run to the final for someone who wants it with a favourable draw and even if you lose the is still European football which will make us a hell of a lot more attractive to potential signings. First priority is the league of course but beat Burnley next week and things will be looking rosy again and we can start dreaming of a potetial run to Wembley with a favourable draw.

I feel sorry for season ticket holders in Sunderland ....... what has been the most exciting match at home this season?

I went to the Newcastle game and count mesel lucky .... but the supporters made that day tbh.

This just isn't good enough Mr Poyet.

The "winnable" games we are confronted with will define things
If he sets up with a "not to lose" formation and we draw these games then Short will fire him IMO

I can't believe that we signed whickham up, and paid £10m for Rodwell.

So we should have let Wickham go for nothing at the end of the season?

Poyet's signings have been appalling, get Milner here on loan plus another player who can actually pass the ball to Defoe.

Not quite yet for me.. However I truly believe ES will be looking at the next couple of weeks results with a ready written P45 in his back pocket.
It's now or never Gus... Miracles DO happen but not 2 years on the bounce (sadly)!!

Monty in spot on post shocker (sort of...)

The player we need is that very one, James Milner. Have we a shot? Probably not, frankly.

EXACTLY what we need to fuse the midfield together, a midfield with talent but lacking the link and cohesion.

Add that we are catching Burnley, Albion and Palace when they are on a bit of a high so probably the worst time for us. I just wish he would stop fannying about with formations and produce a settled team. I haven't seen the full games so cannot judge just how good or lucky Bradford, Palace and Borowere but at least they went for it and possibly chucked the agreed formation out of the window and went for it and were well rewarded. Passion. determination and effort sometimes wins games.

    EDIT

Why get rid of a manager who is trying to build a successful team?

Thing is Bri... Maybe he said "go on then... Championship side now make me unable to drop you" to Rodwell and bridcutt. They blatantly didn't from reading the reports etc. I only listened to it as I was driving to Whitehaven to play a gig but, from what I heard, Defoe hardly got a kick until Rodwell got sent off. He had to play in his own half (much like KP when he got to the end of his SAFC days). And had we gone hung ho and lost there would be questions asked as well.

Catts and AJ back next week will make a difference.

If Burnley take the lead I think the boo boys will really turn on Poyet and it'll be dejavu back to that fateful day against Wigan that saw Bruce out.

These next few games are massive. Burnley qpr wba and villa at home coming up with a weakened swansea away inbetween.

If we dont get 8 or so points from that I think he's toast

I'll admit, I'm starting to get some concerns about our season. Why can't we win at home ffs?
He has to address this quickly, we simply MUST win our next few home games.

I said a long time ago that Gus will stumble on the right team when things will finally come good.
Giachh and Alvarez are both attack minded creative midfielders. This defensive stance obviously isn't working. Gus must surely play at least one of them behind the front two for link up play. Now that Rodders is out surely he will give one of them at least a run in the team.
Cannot see why either of them should, or will want to, warm the bench when he picks Gomez or Buckley ahead of them.

He is a good manager, and picks a good team, but he is useless at substitutions and obviously cant make decisions in the heat of a game, he only uses subs as a means to replace tired legs, never tactically, I thought exactly as you about taking Rodders off at half time and putting on an attacking midfielder, but it obviously this would never occur to Gus, and I did not expect it too.

I am still on the bus, but we are heading into tricky terrain and we all need to get out and push, onwards and upwards and forwards, if we don't we are in real bother. The bright side of it is we have a decent squad, but we have yet to see a decent home performance from them, it must come soon and I hope Gus picks an attacking line up in our remaining home games if he does not then all his good work will be undone, and we will be back to square one or worse.
