Hope so, they said he was going to take a pay cut. I actually think, when fit, he is a tidy player, but, and here is the problem, he is never fit for long and he takes about 9-10 games just to get match fit, by then he is usually sidelined again. We just cannot accomodate him
Our movement from corners is really poor to be honest. So we let Agger, Reina, Gerrard etc leave without trying to keep them but we draw the line at Johnson and decide we must keep him for experience.

Lovely ball from Coutinho but just too close to the keeper. Sterling and Coutinho's link up is very good. Amazing to think both these two are under 22, especially when you throw in Markovic and Can in that as well. Could be an exciting team in a few years, just need to make sure we don't do an Arsenal and develop these young players before they move on to better sides and we're always talking about our "young team" who never go on to achieve anything.
