Richards has played bit parts and Monk hangs him out because ?? anyone's guess. Taylor has been dire for 40 games and is still our only left back.
Bob, i accept your view and that you rate him. I don't think he is a PL player. Then again who knows and time on the pitch may benefit him. Whilst i think Gm is struggling he sees him every day in training and playing which is a lot more than us.
yes your right trunds. he did his best but was nowhere near good enough and he is not alone, A loan move is ideal for him to play in a league where he can shine and if he makes a good impression he may stay with them for good...we are moving these guys on to make room for new signings in the future....the deadwood need to go now including Rangel and leon in the summer...
Deadwood ... I think that is harsh for Leon. For Rangel, I think he is no longer able to compete has he should. But, if Leon is deadwood ... then do you characterize Monk as petrified ... long dead, turning to a rock.
On the topic of Jazz, I am very frustrated by the way this player has been used and treated over the seasons. Do we know whether this loan has been requested by him or by the club to move him off the 25-man roster to make room for others. I would rather see him contributing to our team on the field. He was developed in our system - he gets it and has all the technical tools to play our system (the one Monk is destroying). But if the current idiots in power can't see his value then I hope he goes to Fulham and makes his mark.
I will keep saying it because it is true - Jazz Richards is one of the best passers of the ball in the club, but he needs other players to make a pass playable, Leon and Carroll do that and all three were absent today. My advice to Jazz is to forget Swansea, we are a club and fan base that for thirty years has turned it's back on Swansea born players.
Bob it is about opinions and yours is he is good enough I dont think he is and obviously GM doesnt at the moment if he has been sent out on loan. Just because he is from swansea doesnt mean he should be treated any differently to others. We a;; have differing opinions and with out them it would be very boring.
It is, my concern is Monk thinks Shelvey, Taylor, Barrow, Bartley, Gomis, Nathan and Angel are good enough at the moment.
While I agree with Bob's assessment of Taylor, and also Jazz's footballing ability and the fact he's not given the same chance as others, I'm also in the camp that doesn't think that Jazz is PL level. I'm best friend's with two of Jazz's cousins and we're in agreement that it's a good move for him. He can go to a club in the Championship, hopefully get a full contract there, try and make a name for himself, and then get a move back to the PL to a team that wants him or, even better, get promoted with Fulham in a few years. It's a good move for both parties, but from our perspective it must be followed by the signing of Olsson.
