Reed should have started. Very disappointing that Koeman showed no faith in him despite high quality performances.

Well, not the worst result of the day at least.

Annoying but not a disaster. Lost to an up for it Palace team. Good luck to them.

 

Wide open for someone to creep through and win it this year with todays results.

 

Well done Palace, did very well. Annoying to be out but at least, and i know it's cliche, but we can now concentrate on the bigger picture which is the premier league. Really hope this match doesn't do anything bad to our league form.

 

A real shame, but as long as we beat Swansea with no more injuries, on we go.

 

Opportunity missed, but at least not in the league. We are missing important players and have been riding a bit of luck...Newcastle missed good chances for example. Losing to a PL club on a good run is hardly impossible, though letting 3 goals in is a shock.

 

Depends how much you value the cup I guess. It would of been a fantastic chance to progress with the teams that have gone. I'm disappointed, but I can live with this one, especially if we can continue our form in the league.

 

Would have been great to progress, and I love the cup, but as Fran says, we lost to a reinvigorated PL team with a bus load of significant injuries. It happens. Not time to hide the razor blades just yet.

 

Bad result. At least we can focus on winning the title

 

Yeah it is a disappointment as we all like winning but league this year is priority and we need to get back to winning ways against swansea.

Jizzflakes. Oh well lets concentrate on the CL push. Shows a real lack of depth, disappointed for Cork- should have been a chance for him to control midfield.

 

I prefer to think of it as amazing the difference not having Warnock as your manager makes!

 

It's got a Gerrard farewell written all over it. Cup final day is on his birthday too, I believe.

Anyway, I'm really not to bothered about our defeat. It also doesn't surprise me - Newcastle had pretty poor forward options, so we managed to get by without Toby, Vic and Morgan. But Palace do have options, and are on the high with Pardew coming in. I'm much more annoyed with Spurs going out, I was looking forward to them getting embroiled with another replay, at the very least.

 

Bad result, the fans looked more up for it then the players. We move on, but still a shame.

 

Koeman sounds very tired. Not his usual self.

 

Probably pissed off.
