Swansea manager Garry Monk has said he wouldn’t be against making Tom Carroll’s loan move from Tottenham permanent but won’t rush into a deal.

Carroll is on a season long loan at the Liberty Stadium and reports suggest that Swansea are planning a £5m bid for the player.

“It’s not something we have discussed yet – but we are not averse to it,” said Monk.



“I have not spoken to Tom about it as I do not want him to have any distractions. I want him to worry about his football. Come the end of the season we need to hear from him and both clubs so we will assess it then.”

I don't see a problem with that statement. Carroll and the Club haven't discussed a permanent move but the Club isn't against the idea in principle and any such move will be discussed in the Summer to avoid distracting the lad. Or am I missing something?

 

I don't see the rush either. If it happens great if it doesnt there are plenty more out there.
