I read this week that the USA are now agreeing to a new 'relationship' with Cuba. I think they will now cynically exploit the island for their own trade benefits and soon this amazing country that really is like no other will have a Starbucks and McDonald's on every street and it's unique 'time warp' identity will disappear.

This video is from Wim Wenders docmentary 'Buena Vista Social Club' which gives a real feel of the place, some great 'Latino' style music as well...

Ironically Ry Cooder who was responsible for playing on and recording the album was fined $25,000 for breaking the 'Trading with the enemy embargo', perhaps he'll get a refund now...

They're on tour over here this year, I saw some posters advertising them today which is why I posted these videos. I'll trawl through the web to see if I can find out their dates...
