I like the way he says Character

Agree with a weeks break we have no need to rest players. I'd prefer us to stick with a back four given the personnel and i'd give Long a start in place of Tadic

Alan Pardew says that we are the model club. The owner has integrity, the board are great, the manager carries himself brilliantly and the playing and coaching staff are all professional and ambitious. Said we absolutely deserve to be where we are and he hopes we continue to be the model club should we get into the major European competitions.

Fair play to Pards for the nice comments, he'll be desperate to win on Saturday I think. Two 0-4's and a 0-2 on his 3 visits to St Marys since being sacked. Really feel that we're gonna have a good cup tie on Saturday, got my ticket... bring it on!

Koeman's smile <3 I like when he says "sloppy" and "ball possession"!

JWP's speech is remarkably absent of cliche. He has more to say than yeah definitely. As Les Reed has said, he could have gone to Oxford or Cambridge Unis, no problem at all, and it shows.

It would be difficult not to like to Koeman's mannerisms and speech, given how so well the team are playing. But there is that laid-back Dutch character about him which is endearing. He's coolness personified when the team is playing well. I've no doubt he lets them know what's what when things aren't going as well as they might. When he opens his mouth, all he gets in return is respect. But the way he says carraktor, and naah/yaah in that half-dismissive way. Ball pissition, and showing our qualities. We love it all. Long may it continue. It's his carraktor [character] after all.

Strong rumours at the time and allegedly previous history at Charlton.

Yep after they were relegated from PL he lost the dressing room when they were at the bottom of the Championship. A couple of mates are involved at Charlton and told me at the time that Pardew had allegedly been coaching more than the players!

Rumours tend to be believed, especially salacious ones. He has denied it...he may be a natural flirt (he looks like one)...I suspect it is no more than that.

Sorry Lambie, for some reason I thought you meant he had history with Fonte at Charlton! That makes more sense.

I've noticed recently, in chat between pundits, that when it comes to Pardew, the phrase he likes [fancies] himself, keeps getting mentioned. Whilst it's not an altogether bad trait to have a good opinion of oneself, they give it negative connotations. It is still only rumoured that Pardew is a bit of a philanderer, but of course, once a rumour gets attached to a person it is very hard to shake, such is public opinion. If nothing comes of the rumour, it's not because there was nothing to it, it's because everyone kept their gobs shut. Once the **** is thrown it sticks, whether it is valid or not.

All of which has zero to do with his ability to coach players, and he's undoubtedly pretty good at that.

I like JWP playing behind Pelle so its a toss up between Cork and Reed for me.

Hey guys, I purchased my usual seat on my season ticket earlier in week & was expecting paper tickets to arrive but nothing? I'm now thinking I just use my ST card which has now been ok'd for use on Sat. Is that the case or have the paper tickets got lost ? Thanks.

If you have paid for your own seat on line your own ST will have been activated. If you have an acknowledgement receipt, print it off and take it with you for proof of purchase.
