It could have something to do with the obscene amounts of money that the most overrated entertainment operation on the planet throws at it.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-30920022 "Deloitte said The Swans' qualification for The EUFA Europa League, following their Football League Cup win in 2013,had delivered significant revenue growth". Well now, what do we have here? Proof POSITIVE of the influence of the mighty Michael Laudrup. I was beginning to think that I had imagined it all. Thank you Mr. Deloitte for bringing it to the attention of the entire footballing world. Not that sensible people needed your input.
I don't disagree with the words you used, it's just the point you were making with them are invalid and void of credence. It's not my prerogative or opinion, it's a matter realism. The biggest influence in our recent success is the boardroom.
Well,no boardroom could function without countless millions of pounds finding it's way into the Club's coffers.
Making £100 Million per season will become the norm for us as we develop the club and sponsorship deals, will need the expansion up and running soon though, because it's not just the 12,000 ticket sales that the club are missing but it's also what those lost 12,000 purchase on match day at half time and before kick off, so we do really need to pull our finger out on the stadium expansion....................
We should not spend a penny on the liberty until we know if we can buy it first and im telling you there will be plenty of council members and the people of white rock who will oppose not only buying but any expansion that we will want to do. The stadium could not have been built in a more unsuitable place than where it is. The road structure is not suitable now let alone an extra 12-000. If we knew then that we would be an established premiership club the stadium would not have been built there as its only suitable for lower league football with the road and parking structure that is there.
Even es At the time the Stadium was built there were no better options open other than the White Rock and there were less people living around the ground than there is now . 3 Council football pitches and the Morfa . Velindre has been mentioned many a time but it had been ear marked for housing and commercial enterprise even then and it was not land owned by the Council .Even long established PL Clubs have poorer access issues and parking than us , much more if you consider Liverpool , Everton ,Stoke , OPR, Chelsea. Stoke ,Sunderland . probably the best is WBA imo for ease of access .
Cardiff made £60m in their one season. Don't need any talent to make an obscene amount of money in the PL when TV money is so massive. However, we got to the PL in the first place, and have stayed there. A huge turn around from a few years ago. We should be proud of where we are now, and try to avoid ****ing it up !
Hopefully Stereo some of Bony's fee and the tv monies can go towards buying a £12-£15 million striker in the summer. We need to spend big on a number one striker in the summer.
Agree Dai doesn't have the correct facts on this, and the road issues are least of the issues, especially when you consider Everton and Liverpool issues........
