Two things: 1) This is a bit weird - changing home kits half way through a season and starting wearing a new one for the next 18 months. I dont recall that ever happening before. 2) Opinion will be divided but I think it's cool as **** and the goalkeeper jersey would've been ace as an away kit. http://www.footyheadlines.com/2014/10/special-macron-lazio-2015-eagle-kit.html
Did we have to change kits half way through the 1993/94 season because Matchwinner went bust and wouldn't release the copyright?
Hmmm you might be right. That was defo the reason we changed but I cant recall if it was during or pre season. Ok then, it's unusual for a club to choose to change kits half way through a season.
What you would expect from . . ahem . .. a small club like Lazio . at least Fraizio Campbelini seems happy
Actually yeah, I do, its awful imo. Took me a couple of mins to realise that awful thing on the front is a bird. It looks like white paint dripping down the front. One of the worst looking kits I can recall seeing. Looks like the sort of thing an american team that's been created in the last 5 mins would wear in fact.
Despite, as the article states and OLM's pic shows, it's a direct copy of a kit from a legendary period in 1980.
Its just a knee jerk reaction to them finding out that they are now a smaller club than Hull City. Additional revenue is needed fast this is the first step, a new shirt to sell world wide. Rumours suggest a name change is on the cards " will bring in loads of money". Ticket prices will also increase at the start of next season.
Replace the bird with a Tiger, change the colours to black n' amber and there you have it. An American looking "Jersey", all we need is an American sounding name, hmmmm, Hull Tigers?
