    I thought the transfer window was to strengthen the squad Bony gone, probably Taylor to follow. Replacements Naughton and now Rhodes, I'm all for young and hungry players but they must be of premiership quality. Rhodes 9 goals in the championship, no premiership experience and all for £11million, laughable.

    £11m just because of his massive wages. Gestede is their more prolific striker and people are bidding way less. No thanks

    A few reports now emerging - Hull's £11mn got turned down in the summer!
    I trust the board have more sense than to take this gamble.

    Blackburn saying they will not sell till the summer.

    Already turned down £11mn from Hull.

    As hey look like they could make the play offs and therefore gain promotion maybe they are sensible to keep a player that would cost a lot of money to replace.

    Why are we looking to sign Rhodes for £11mn when Palace are paying £6mn for Rudy Gestede
    Rhodes 24 (25 in a few weeks) 6' 1" ---- 5 goals in 14 appearances (25 from 48 last season) ---- £11mn
    Gestede 26 6' 4" 8 goals in 13 appearances (12 from 21 last season) ----- £6mn

    I also find it odd that that Rhodes chose to play international football for Scotland rather than England, lack of confidence?

    Rhodes isn't a player who helps out or tries winning the ball back either, according to some fans.

    Rhodes would be worth a punt as a second striker for about half what they want. Please don't pay 11m for an untested PL striker. Then again didnt a lot say the same about the money paid for Bony. It is still a no from me.
