So looks like Toby and Morgan back by QPR (Morgan may miss Swansea) and then everyone back in time for...Liverpool.
Yep. Because I was unable to take the wee laddie, I wrote about a few weeks back, to the match, I got him the Saints v Chelsea programme. Good souvenir. They certainly put more in them these days.
Pards saying some nice things about us..... On Southampton: "They have a terrific group of young players complimented by international players - they're the model club at the moment. We play them twice in quick succession so we have to concentrate hard. It's always nice to go back to your old club and I'm looking forward to it. I enjoyed it there and I only have good feelings."
Looks like he's had a look at the squad, at the fixtures for the rest of the season, and the timeline for players returning. Think he's also said previously that he doesn't like to bring players in during January windows, unless he has to. [I may have dreamed that..!]
Hyperbole, yeah, but I would like to see some of the youngsters getting their chance here; still think that we need to give McCarthy a start, and we have a couple players (including Tadic) who have picked up knocks of late who could use the rest. Seems an ideal chance to work a couple of the kiddies into the lineup, because they might not get looks in elsewhere unless our injury problems worsen.
Disagree. Players had two days off, and a whole week between matches. They are probably fresh and raring to go.
Prowsey on the cup, the league and England. Surely he's older than he says he always sounds so confident - have we checked his birth certificate? Nasty haircut!
JWP is so articulate, he's a joy to listen to. And I don't know about you, but I simply adore Koeman's english. especially the way he says 'of course'.
