I still prefer the old bbc606 format, simple and fuss-free - add a few extras like PM and picture posting and I'd take that over the new fangled facebook/twitter/app friendly any day - but I am old[ish!!] and with that comes resistance to change <laugh>

I preferred the old not 606 to the bbc 606 and JA 606 format. Im not on FB, I look on Twitter sometimes but never tweet. I prefer this format to the BBC 606 + JA as well, I found reading on the others conversations get lost easily as not everyone quotes who they are talking to. It also makes threads easier to read when you see the picture at the side as well, you can idntify who it is a lot quicker than reading the names like on the the other formats

I look at the funny accounts on twitter, like boring James Milner for example. I also look at James Pearce account on twitter and stuff like that really

I think what I liked was the speed of manoeuvring the old bbc site, you clicked your own name and it brought up all the threads you'd been on and how many replies there'd been and that's all I wanted to know. I get what you mean though it was maybe a bit boring to look at as well.

The new site is way better than the original BBC one

It's like the internet vs ceefax FFS

Is it possible to get rid of the stupid 'Murican spell-check or does it have to be done at admin level? It's doing my head in.

Every time you spell something it doesn't like it puts a wavy red line underneath it. I'm getting neurotic about it.

Good point. I haven't noticed it on anything else but I'm not a big fan of social media so most of my writing's on here. I've got FB and Twatter accounts but don't use them nearly as much.

I'm using Firefox. I must have had an update which somehow reset the dictionary to a default U.S. version. I just assumed that, as the site was using new software, that that was the culprit.
    Fixed it now. :)

I can't say I pay that much attention. Come to think of it, the only time I've noticed is when I type usernames, which a lot of times aren't proper words - I think the old format did that as well.

Any spell-check would, because most of them aren't proper English of any description.

I don't think I've ever seen you use an incorrect spelling. The likes of you and I don't require a spellchecker. We're perfectionists <whistle>
