Chess. My mind has never been as sharp as it was in the days when I used to play a couple of games online every evening. Ten minutes to know the rules, a lifetime of study if you want it. Alternatively, try a MOOC. Massively open online course. Free education courses put out by major universities. You can learn anything from art history to quantum mechanics. Utterly, totally free and plenty of opportunity to collaborate with others on your course if you do them live. Alternatively, you can do them at your own pace at any time. Look at these exchanges for the courses: https://www.edx.org/ https://www.coursera.org/ Vin
Current stewing like a good'un... Group of mates at uni got together and politely informed one of the guys in our flat the other day that we can't see ourselves living with him next year due to his behaviour, attitude and excessively loud music at all hours - as a result of which he cut himself off from the rest of the flat, perhaps understandable. Anyway, after all that - one of the others (who said he didn't want to live with this guy and agreed with us all when we had a sit down talk about it) comes over today with everyone except myself and problem flatmate out of the building and proceeds to slag every single person off, and crawl up the back passage of problem housemate. Only thing they'd forgotten was that I hadn't actually left and it was all going on, just the other side of my door. To say I'm pissed off is pretty much an understatement. Oh and guess what? Shorthand is useful after all! Depressingly pathetic in so many ways.
If you're interested in a sport try boxing or BJJ (if you don't want to get hit). You'll be in excellent shape and it's a lot of fun learning a skill which puts you in direct 1 on 1 competition with another person.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. Awkward whenever he walks into the communal areas. Makes a point of slamming every door, smashing footballs around and generally making a racket. Can deal with that for 5 months and then move out, but for someone who was supposedly 'on the same side' to then do that - that's what really, really angers me.
University's have their fair share of pricks. I mean, there are hundreds of 18-20 year olds. Unfortunately you've copped one.
Yeah, especially if you do it in The Solent. OK, you mean right now, not just this year. Scrabble..? Doing what that bloke does in the avatar on the left every time I post is good fun, but you might get cold and/or die at this time of the year as well. Skiing..! Winter pastime and for winter holidays. Don't know how close to Southampton you are Jen, but the Sports Centre Ski Slope is great to practice on [there's also one in Aldershot]. I used to ski and practice there back in the 1980's for when winter came round. Eventually I fell over while racing down the hill, buggered my back and shoulder and took up sailing. Full circle. How about swimming..? Keeps you all-round fit and toned better than any other single sports pastime. I've got to start going again regularly, but it has been quite a few years since I had the swimmers shape. Which reminds me, my ex kept all the photos of me in my Speedos, and people don't believe me anymore that I was a muscular and toned bronzed god. Think Graziano, and you'd have been close.
Archery. And the cricket season starts in about April.. No way. No matter what they look like, natural boob > fake boob
Talking of cricket James Vince hit 152 not out for England Lions earlier. A debut for England is surely not far away.
Nothing wrong with fake. When implants were first made is when you had the no jiggle problem. These days they nearly feel real. Up to the girl if she wants fake or not.
