Sky sports reporting Palace are after Jordan Mutch on loan. Don't think we should loan to our rivals, no matter how poor he has been of late.

Terrific if true. Can we have Puncheon then in return? Mutch has been a total waste of money just like Sandro and Ferdinand's wages. TBF - Sandro has spent most of the time on the treatment table but why on earth did we spend that much on him without at least getting a payment in stages according the number of games we played. Oh of course. Levy demands and Harry tells the Board it's a good deal and they pay up

If he's going to perform for them as well as he's done for us by all means they can have him the Trojan horse.

Agree Jeff, not been given Mutch (sorry) of a chance so far, think it's mental how he seems to have been written off by some already. Also as established he isn't going on loan to Palace!!!!!

He's not had much game time and, when he has played, he's hardly set the ground on fire. Nevertheless, he does have a Premier League pedigree and we need the quality in the squad: after all, we have found the need to use him during the season to date. We should keep him as he strengthens the overall squad and we need to give him, like all our players, a fair chance.

Yes, but which of our forthcoming fixtures would you try him out in?

I thought there were glimpses of class in his early games with us but unfortunately through injury his career has never taken off with us. I wouldn't write him off yet though. He will a good player for us in the championship next season.

What is his best position? What type of player is he? What should we be seeing from him?

At the moment, he wouldn't be my first choice anywhere but when/if our players start falling over like nine pins, I'd find somewhere to stuff him. TBH, I'm not even sure what is his best position but I still think he adds a bit of strength in depth to the squad and he deserves a bit more time to show us what he can do.

Mark my words if he goes there he will play a blinder for rest of season and keep them up and we will all be on here saying how useless is Harry letting him go.
We know what he can do, give the guy some match time.

We should keep both him and SWP to remind the others that they may not be that bad after all. A sort of sick morale booster.

Your being very polite on this subject Stan!

Keeping both of them could leave every other player envious & follow their lead of all pay & no play!

Exactly my thoughts, remember he's lost in the 'QPR Quality Black Hole'...

I have seen nothing from Mutch that suggests he is anything other than very, very average!

    I've been thinking about this.

Arry has a history of getting the most out of his first eleven (his present company excepted) but letting the squad players stagnate.

It ties in with the refusal to rotate squads that is considered charming by the author of the other thread (and therefore by Swords :D ).

Examples would be the likes of Bent, Crouch, Pienaar and Krancjaer at Spurs (from memory).

In our current situation, it leaves us with an off form team and pplayers bereft of confidence in reserve.

I have a feeling that a lot of these fringe players will do well for us if they outstay the old fossil.
