    Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the 21st January, and Leeds are still unbeaten in the league all year.

I don't know why it is, but Leeds always play better against better competition, and last it it was Bouremouth's time to feel the Elland Road wrath....

The goal came courtesy of Luke Murphy 25 yard thunderbolt, and even though Leeds rode their luck in the second half, they came through the game unscathed.

So here are the talking points.

    * Bournemouth had a goal disallowed for offside.

    * Bournemouth were awarded a penalty?

    * They missed the target from the spot. Is that acceptable not to hit the target?

    * Moro has a hip injury. According to Redfearn "We got 20 minutes more than we should have had out of him. I think its just a slight strain, nothing major but we need to rest him up for a couple of days."

*According to radio reports, 17 year old Cook was running the show. Is it not time we put a long term contract (5 or 7 years) in front of the lad?

After the game, Cherries boss Eddie Howe had this to say :-

“We had a bad start to the game, I don’t think there’s any denying that,” he told BBC Radio Solent.

“Leeds put us under pressure and we didn’t deal with the pressure very well, and we gave the ball away a lot in the first half which is very much unlike us.

“All I will say is we had a number of chances and on another day we win that game.

“When you come to Elland Road and create that many, you expect one to hit the net so it was a day really where we didn't play as well as we can do, but we should have still won the game in my opinion.

“I think the chances we missed came at key times because if we can come in not playing well but level, it gives you a massive boost. We were a lot better in the second half, theres no denying that.

“We were more like ourselves but for a bit more luck we’d have definitely not lost.”

Morning Elland and all who follow...

Our defence won us that game, I believe they (Bournemouth) might have scored if it had not been for Bellusci, you have to go back to November since we last scored more than one goal and the same amount of time since anyone including Liverpool kept a clean sheet against Bournemouth.

I am not going to get over excited about the result or performance, I am very relieved with the three points, it gives us a little breathing space now. I still believe there is an awful lot wrong at the club both on and off the field but I think we need to scrap away for the points and secure Championship football for next season and re-evaluate everything once that target has been achieved.

For those that attended, how did Murphy play, his goal was superb but was his overall performance pleasing?

I see Byram is attracting attention again, press reports linking him with Liverpool, Arsenal and Southampton.

On what planet is this a penalty? Another top quality decision.
How poor has the quality of refereeing been this season in both the championship and premiership?

Agreed. People should leave Bellusci alone. He had to make the challenge, he took one for the team. It was intelligent play. Considering Taylor was alongside the striker, think it should have been yellow. If Tony Adams had made that challenge, he would have been praised as an intelligent play

    Morning hamase, you alright pal?

Quite a few things go against you if you're at the wrong end of the table (or if you're Leeds)

Looking at the video though you can see why the ref gave it. At full speed, sliding in the first contact looked nearer the line and the Bournemouth player, of course, fell down well into the box towards goal.

Very close, but still the wrong decision. But they ****ed it up so who cares.

    Hey'up Ellandback,

Good result which gives us a bit of breathing space to play with, 10 days rest, that we all might need as well to recover....<laugh>

Morning all. I was doubly pleased with the win last night, had £20 @4-1 on the mighty whites.
Hopefully this win might be the first of more to come

The ref doesn't get the benefit of freeze frame photos, he saw it real time and to be fair it looked a penalty at full speed.
