For goodness sake. This bloke has shown he knows nothing about wine, nothing whatsoever about football and nothing about politeness and good manners. He is so lonely and has no friends such that the only way people can be bothered to have anything to do with him is in response to his inane and insultingly rude comments. This guy is a sad little Billy No Mates sitting alone in his bedroom on his computer insulting people as that is the only way they will respond to him. I have never ever read or heard a single sensible or mildly amusing thing from this guy. The world would be so improved without him in it so can we please just get rid of him. Finally here he is for you all to see. So are we going to bother to respond to him any more? I'm not.

Some things have not changed, SB posts a silly comment, people respond with reasonable views, SB fails to respond, goes off at a tangent and changes the subject, a bit like a UKIP political candidate.

To be fair, you have to admit that is not you being your usual self though, I agree that in your present situation a sense of humour is the only saving grace, keep smiling, it can only get better, or not as the case may be.

Maybe I am sickening for something? Although I should admit I am finding it quite hard to find something to taunt you guys with!

I can't even rely on the good old links with Tubby Lambert having left to go back to his roots........<whistle>

I wonder if he popped in for old times sake, as he is so close now at Liverpool?

Nothing trivial I hope! In your honest own opinion, would you welcome a return to a proper single owner of your Club, or stick to the present situation which is just about holding water and has to be admired for doing so? As for Rickie we still love him, but he is history now and doesn't fit in our thoughts much these days.

Interesting question which I am sure my fellow blues and you red stripey lot would have different views on.

The way I see it is that whilst currently having a good solid crowd base(which may start falling unless we pull our socks up) and ownership by the fans that may suffice now that the finances are much improved, but only really in L2 and hopefully shortly in L1. Undoubtedly the current structure would not in my humble view support our advancing up the leagues back to the Championship and EPL. On the flip side of the coin I always enjoyed any level of footy with my club and we have had the single rich owner who baled out and left us to the highest bidder, be they asset strippers, fake sheiks , persons that would not pass a proper fit for purpose test , but that the regulators felt were all ok blokes despite criminal convictions suggesting otherwise to the lay man never mind the football/company/legal experts.

So a White Knight whilst tempting may not be for us, unless there was great substance to any bid and concrete evidence of a new stadium etc(pun intended), together with a solid business plan , funding and stratagy as well as determined intent to move that forward.

As I said no doubt there are other views an the blue and red side of Hampshire.

Fair enough, I don't think us deckchairs are too bothered either way, but at least you have kept an open mind, try prayer, it worked for us I think.

You may have to wait a while for your white knight. Although we had a smallish debt, we had everything else in place (stadium, academy etc) to be an attractive proposition to a prospective buyer. Any buyer would have to invest a fortune to make any real progress at Pompey.

Plus, of course, if we are talking "attractive", Portsmouth..........mmm!?

One of the joys of the new forum software is that when you put someone on ignore you don't even know that they have posted. And, if someone quotes them, it doesn't get shown. So, look at his profile, click "ignore" and you'll never have to read anything he's written ever again.

He's only the second person I have ever "ignored", so I'm quite choosy, but his "fat german" comment was enough for me. There's "banter" and there's "offensive insults aired to create a reaction" and he's clearly on the wrong side of that line.
