Really positive performance from the lads. Sloppy from Can for the penalty but Carra can piss off in his criticism - thought the young lad responded very well. Happy with everyone's performance although Henderson continues to frustrate me.
Really good game, we deserved a win but sometimes it doesn't go in, Chelsea made it difficult throughout and Courtois was good when needed. We just need another performance like that at the Bridge.
I don't think so. I think it's in our favour. Chelsea play us on Tuesday then City on Saturday... does Mourinho risk playing his strongest team? Then we have the advantage of the away goal counting when we get to ET
How do you work that out? They've got an away goal, so you'd have to score twice at the Bridge to have the advantage
Because away goal only kicks in after Extra time so we have 120 minutes to score 2 goal rather than just 90... some **** league cup rule.
So what happened to the tonking that any decent team would give us with our formation? Gutted we didn't win that, Chelsea wern't even that outplayed against Spurs Well done red men
Away goals don't apply unless we go in to extra time, in which case their away goal would be negated (assuming it was a score draw). If we did score in ET they'd need to score 2.
Because if it's 0-0 after full time, we're still in the cup and not out of it And if it's 2-2 after ET then we go through
On another note, we were **** tonight.....been **** too many times recently, awesome against Swansea at the weekend and then this? Well played tho guys!
FFS disappointed to not get the win there, which says it all. One way traffic 2nd half Good to see Lallana back and he sounded sharp
But that assumes that you both score in the 90 and it finishes level. The advantage sits with Chelsea as it stands as they've come away with a draw and an away goal
haha reading the comments re. Costa and Sakho. Any moron who thinks that's a foul is clearly bitter or clueless. Sakho wasn't even facing Costa as COSTA clips Sakho! If anything, it would be a foul in Sakho's favour.
