Chelsea team v Liverpool Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Filipe Luis; Matic, Mikel; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard; Diego Costa. Subs v Liverpool: Cech, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Oscar, Remy, Drogba.
No Balotelli again? Injured or in the process of being sold? No surprise to see Gerrard back, be nice for him to score a couple to help quieten the Chelsea fans.
To be fair, both Borini and Lambert scored at the weeked. Would be harsh to drop them from the squad for someone who's hardly in goalscoring form.
I've worked out why Mignolet can't kick a football.. His legs are about the width of a ruler Just showed him warming up wearing shorts and under tight things and no joke he has the skinniest legs I've ever seen in a footballer!
The next leg is before the Chelsea v City game. Have to think that Mourinho may priorities that game so if we can go to the next game still in with a shout by winning or drawing here then could easily get a draw against them at Stamford Bridge
"Liverpool are finished. They had one year where they over achieved last year. They won't get anywhere near top four for a long time to come." Balanced reporting by #bbcsalford
This is where Skrtel is so annoying as a player. He gets the ball, loads of time to pick out a pass, waits and waits, gets closed down and goes back to Mig, but instead of passing ti down the line for him to come onto on his right foot... he puts it across his body so Mig has to take a touch at which points he's under pressure and has to hurry his kick which goes straight out of play.
There's where a lack of a CF is hurting us... Great late run from Henderson and a great pull back into the 6 yard box but not one LFC player in the box. Another good move and pass from Coutinho nearly puts Sterling in. Lucas has started really well in the middle, playing well so far.
