Don't believe all the poison that was aimed at Laudrup.

It came from a group of individuals that you wouldn't want standing alongside you in a World War One trench.

It's embarrassing that it can take an established Premier League club nearly a month to sort out a permanent manager.

I actually believe Garde, McClaren & Tuchel would all come to us if we actually made an official approach. All I keep reading/hearing about is they want to do their "due diligence" which is all well and good because it's an important decision but how hard can it be???

I mean surely it's just a case of Charnley confirming what resources the manager will have at his disposal, what his objectives will be and what plans they have to strengthen/weaken the current squad. After that it's up to the potential manager to advise if he feels he can achieve the objectives and how he'll go about doing so (such as the brand of football he'll play, promoting youth etc).

It'll get to the end of the window, we'll lose to Hull and Carver will then get a minimum of a 6 month deal and it'll be a slog against avoiding the drop. Disappointing because I actually feel with a new CB and a completely new and previously unheard voice on the training ground we could still have an enjoyable season by finishing in the top 10 and developing a new philosophy at the club.

Would be nice if the club would even release a statement to confirm what time scale they're working towards but they communication absolutely f*ck all.

Indeed. It would be great if the club told us anything at all. Having the head coach as the only voice coming out of the club is colossally poor communication from a club/business of our stature. Especially when the head coach is treated like a mushroom. I've said it before, but the silence coming out of the club is deafening. All the media and Carver to an extent, can speculate all they want over what they think is happening. The truth of the matter is, noone other than Ashley and Charnley has a clue what's going on within the club at the moment.

The silence of the club reflects Mike Ashley's personality. Tone at the top I think is the business term. Fans are customers, and to be honest if his ****ty company treated its customers the way NUFC treats its fans they would quickly lose a lot of money. The problem is - we put up with it and keep going back.

And this is the crux of the problem.

There has been a lot of this silence from the club talk recently and I fully agree that they are just silent. However (and this may just be me not paying enough attention) I don't hear anything from other club owners. Villa and Everton who are both struggling worse than we are this season as established clubs haven't had any communication out from the owners as far as I am aware. Neither did we here anything from Man U or Liverpool owners when they were struggling at the start of the season. The most we tend to hear are votes of confidence.

Now I know that as we don't have a permanent manager we are all hungry for more news but I feel that these days a silent owner is more the status quo. The only owners you hear are people like Parish and Tan who are just making mockeries of themselves and by extension the clubs they own and the fans would probably prefer that they just shut the hell up!

Garde has been the only person outside of the club to speak with a Newcastle official as far as we are aware. Managers can be extremely deceiving as well, wouldn't be surprised if he's more than willing to wait out this month so he can just jump in on a decent wage and start doing what will be, apart from fan expectations, a rather easy job.

No trophy contention required, no scouting, dealing with agents, dealing with contracts, wages, bonuses and any of that crap. He can just get into the club the week before the window closes, play what should be (and no disrespect is intended here) an easy game against possibly the easiest team in the league to beat at the minute 'ull City. He can just win a few more games this season and we're sitting neatly in the top ten, targets met, bonuses handed out, holiday's early. It is no wonder to me at all, why a few managers are willing to take the job and deal with the "tyranny" on Mike Ashley

A lot of speculation on Laudrup - not a sticker but a wonderful manager.

At Swansea, he was undermined by a small clique of players (the some as had a downer on Paulo Sousa), one of whom is currently dismantling our last 8 years of progress.
When Laudrup was sacked there had been an awful lot of stirring, but we were 12th in the league (not great points but with a run in of 14 games you would just love), in the Europa Cup (knock out stage), in the FA Cup & League Cup. We had been without as many as 11 first team / squad players for several weeks. He gave us our first ever major trophy and finished 9th in the league on a very meagre outlay ... and we were playing superb football.

Yet some of our muppets wanted him out because the team didn't do double training.

Good information mate. Goes to show the bullshit spread in the media ( all Laudrup fault) is probable bullshit. I never believed the one sided job the hacks did on him. Then again, he isn't a British manager so what did any of us expect?

That's just the tip of the iceberg, but I do not want to bore you with the rest, just check out his previous clubs, we even had RCD Mallorca fans warning us regarding his flaws, he has caused issues where ever he has gone, even when he had success he did not last long, his agent was the start of the issues at Swansea, and he tried to dictate our clubs transfer policy and signings, making moves behind the clubs back, since when does an agent dictate club policy? I could be here for some time, but my advice to you is stay well clear, and pay no attention to our Laudrup Sycophants, it's a cross we continue to bare since his sacking...............<cheers>

He created the Spanish clique and Monk had the backbone to kick them out. He'll ML didn't even take the training sessions and Swanee off on his jet when he felt like it. We wanted him out because in 38 games, he managed the grand total of 36 points. He has a track record of getting sacked or resigning after 18 months.

Don't know the full facts of what happened with Laudrup but Monk is the sort of man you can imagine stabbing someone in the back. Laudrup does strike me as greedy as proven by his move to Qatar.
