No need to apologise mate, you had me worried there. I know I post some crap on here and I couldn't give a monkey's what anyone thinks of me but to be accused of being pro Redknapp left me feeling somewhat perturbed. I was right in the last line of my previous post then. 'Gladiators or bitches?' I can't believe I said that, although even if I say so myself, it is funny.
The expectations that money brings imo. It did seem as though you were aiming your comments at Harry's critics on here. Fair enough if you meant the idiots on twitter etc.
Rednapp critics no, fans who take their criticism to a level where it's just pure hate and seem to not want to support just because of Rednapp yes. My original post was written in drip and drabs and may have lost some context in doing so.
If nobody better is around, what happens if he retires in the Summer - is everyone going to suddenly become available then?
Very good point, I guess we need to see where we are at this rate. If we survive then sorry no name but I like the sound of us getting a foreign coach in. If we are in the Championship then time for us to try and poach a young up and coming name from a rival perhaps. Sorry I know that does not answer your question but that's the way I would like us to be looking.
I thought the team played pretty well against ManU relative to some of the stinker performances they've had, particularly since the Christmas run. Given the rumours of Harry's potential sacking it might be fair to say that they were playing hard for the manager (as tactically poor as that might be given Harry's direction). To me, that is reason for hope. It doesn't mean that we're not in for a whole lot of drama going to the end of the season, but it does mean there is some fight in our R's and that's better than what I was seeing a couple weeks back. Maybe it's time to really rally around the club to help keep them up -- no matter what we think of our manager and his approach (love him or hate him).
At this moment in time, we can probably get a better up and coming manager (survival would make their name) - if the worst happens then the prospects would probably have to come from the lower leagues because we would be another Championship team. Probably best to ignore me - I'm being a right old misery guts. I just need the next week and a half to pass quickly so that my runaway dreams of glorious victories kick in again.
No worry's mate, I feel your pain. One day our beloved R's will give us something to shout about. Easy for me to say but we will just have to grin and bare it while this roller coaster that we like to ride on takes another dip!
Well, I was on them twice, at monthly intervals and their ability to ease pain was average the first time and non existent the second. If we got a bulk buy for the club supporters, we'd need to double the dosage for them to work Dr Aussie.
As pointed out in the Times this morning, Fernandes signally failed to use the words 'for the rest of the season' in his vote of confidence.
