However depressing what is happening at our club is at present, the keyboard warriors on the CAFC forums are doing their utmost to make it even worse, Charlton Life has totally lost the plot, as Bonkers Barney, Pompous Prague and Henry Pervert argue about who has the biggest ego in their quest to be numero uno uber-fan. On Into The Valley, Dreams of The Perverse and Racist Royston slug it out to prove who hates foreigners the most. If these big-mouthed tossers genuinely represent Charlton fans, we are doomed. But I remember an old saying about empty vessels make most noise. Perhaps this site as the least noisiest and most reasonable has a role to play in helping to restore some sanity to our club?

Stop sucking up to the management here. We have our fair share of nutters, racists, xenophobes, yobs, illiterates, Little Englanders and Little Charltoners too. Thanks, Willie. Actually I had known it and had promptly forgotten. Maybe what misled me was Kent Addick's description of him as "a Charlton great". He did a solid job but was hardly that.

Football must be boring if you're a Manure fan. Or Arsenal, etc. Imagine turning up to a souless stadium, and your team just winning every week. God that is boring. Give me some atmosphere, where the players play good, when the fans can get behind them.
