”The Club is delighted to confirm that Seko Fofana’s loan deal from Manchester City has been extended until the end of the season. please log in to view this image The 19-year-old midfielder has made 10 appearances for Fulham since initially joining in November, and he’ll now remain with Kit Symons’ squad for the duration of 2014/15. Speaking to the official website, Fofana stated: “I’m delighted to be prolonging my stay at Fulham and I want to continue to help the team win as many games as possible. “I have enjoyed my time here so much and gained a lot of experience of playing first team football in the Championship.” “I thank Manchester City for allowing me to extend my stay here and Kit Symons who has shown a lot of faith in me. “I also would like to thank my teammates who have made my integration into the First Team easier and our supporters who have shown me a lot of affection since I joined.”
Apologies SuperBri - I've now read the 'Tranfer Rumours' thread where you'd already posted this news.
No problem, we can use this thread to discuss his merits. For me he's only 19 years and like most of our own youth players has had good games and poor games, so I'm not that convinced with him. He has energy, but he looks awkward on the ball and doesn't seem to have a one touch game, also he hasn't yet shown me he can read the game in midfield. I'd prefer someone like Hoogland in his position.
I'm happy to read of his extension, he's not going to be a world beater, and will likely never play for City, but at the very least he offers energy and a bit of depth. I thought he was good on Saturday and could see him improving with more game time. Whether he gets it when Hoogieman and Hyndman come back is unlikely though.
Although more athletic than Hyndman I tend to agree with this. Don't think he will ever become a City player and if he improves he could be a good midfielder for us.
