That was elmo's fault last week you twat. McGregor had it covered but Elmo just couldn't help himself,he had to touch it.
TIGERS target Rudy Gestede is apparently unhappy his Blackburn club have placed a £6m price tag on him – fearing the steep amount could derail a desired move to the Premier League. Rovers, currently sitting in tenth place in the Championship table, do not want to sell their prized forward, who sat out Saturday’s match with Wigan Athletic because of the interest. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-25888057-detail/story.html#ixzz3PGdo2o7R
Whats Bamford doing now-a-days? Wonder if Doyle is worth a game from Chesterfield, might be 2-3 million.
At the Smoggies I think. Doyle might be alright, but I'm still not sure, it's only this season he's really started doing well, he was bang average before that and £2m seems a lot.
Transfer Centre Live @TransferCentreL Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede for a fee in the region of £4m.
Left field but with us getting plenty of crosses in how about James Hanson from Bradford? Good with headers. Target man for Elmo's crosses and out of contract in the summer. Little or no risk. Could offer incentives to give him a wage rise from his pay at Bradford if we stay up and he gets half a dozen goals this season.
Heard we offered a loan deal for Gestede - obviously we don't have a lot of money unless the current situation changes Allams mind to spend.
I'd like to see us go in for Andre Gray, he scored again for Brentford at the weekend. I'd prefer him to Deeney.
Time to go for Eion Doyle from Chesterfield. £1/2m plus maybe add-ons will land him. The kid knows how to score goals especially from in and around the 6 yard area. Very little else around and worth a punt at the price. imo. Gestade is way over priced. Let others pay more than they should do.
A million pounds is still a lot of money for somebody who struggled for goals in the SPL and has only just started scoring goals in the third tier. It's an even bigger ask to have him lead the line in a relegation battle. Honestly, ask yourself, is he good enough to be a Premier League footballer now? Goalscoring record aside, his other attributes seem very average. Paddy Madden has scored **** loads of goals in the lower leagues, we might as well go for him as well. At least players like Gray, Deeney and Wilson are proving themselves at Championship level so you know you're going to get a decent player, but it'd be ridiculous of Steve Bruce to grab a League One player and tell him to lead our line.
What about Darius Henderson, Glen Murray, Grant Holt? I'm sure Kenwyne Jones wouldn't cost too much either.
How come Forest, Blackburn etc are under a transfer embargo etc then if they're not in a European competition? I.e http://www.theguardian.com/football...m-forest-financial-fair-play-transfer-embargo
Because they're not in the Premier League and as a consequence, have to follow completely different rules to us.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...inancial-fair-play-inquiry-uefa-europa-league Well this seemed to happen quite a while after we were knocked out of Europe and then it's gone quiet since.
