I met him and Jack Batten at a school awards evening, they we're both modest and nice people, although JET had his trademark personality when the new head read out his boring speech.
My son formerly played for a BS3 under sevens team which took part in the above. Emmanuel-Thomas was superb with the kids pre and post match.
Scored twice again tonight, keep your mojo, keep focused and you could be playing in the championship next season with city.
Comedy last night as he dropped off into midfield and the experts started shouting for him to stop wandering around being a lazy cnt and get forward, which he did minutes later with the ball from midfield and scored.
I think the point is that this is a squad game in England now, and JET is a unique tool to have in our box (as it were). He has had to wait for his chance, and to his credit JET has done that. Now the gloves are off and its like signing a classy new player. It all adds up for me. SC knew we had to become competitive, and that there would be a time for JET's talents But then history is always written by the winners
People were on about this Saturday but its a case of him being played in the right position. His assist once again Saturday was from midfield. There is nothing new about that and he did it in a City shirt before. What was happening was Mr Cotterill was trying to create something that doesnt exist by playing Jay Emmanuele Thomas up top instead of what he is at times great at.
The reason why JET is performing again all of a sudden could just be because he was dropped, and now he's eager to show what he can do? It may be that this is the answer. JET could be fantastic cover, but when his form drops he is dropped. The next time we need him he'll be hungry to impress again. When you're a team chasing promotion that kind of backup is invaluable.
Which overlooks he is playing in different position. His best form comes from being allowed to play deep. His invisible form comes when he is up top. Aden Flint doesn't play at wing back or full back for a reason same goes for Emanuelle Thomas, its daft playing him in position he is ineffective and worse in.
You may be right, but it hardly stopped the same thing happening when he played for Cardiff and Ipswich. What becomes the excuse when his form drops again?
What becomes the excuse when his form drops again? The same as everybody else if they are played out of position and poor form, opposition, attitude etc the same as everybody else when played where it suits them best. Emmanuelle Thomas gets coated off because some seem to want him to be a skillful Andy Carroll.
