I think the way Sanchez is playing just goes to show how good you have to be to make the grade at Barca. Suarez was always abit of a flat track bully in the PL, he tended to get most of his goals against poorer sides, and went missing in big games. So it's no suprise he is struggling to handle the pressure at a top side.
He didn't go missing in big games imo, the fact that he was so tightly marked by the opposition meant that others has the opportunity to score. I don't recall too many of the big games where he played badly but have to admit that his goal scoring record wasn't that good.
Barca are a strange club though and I think any forward on the planet would have trouble impressing when the star man is Messi. Suarez will be another Ibrahimovic/Sanchez. He'll probably move in a couple of years and become brilliant again.
I agree his form is very much down to Barca restricting his movement, if they allowed him to play his natural game they would benefit from it. He made the wrong choice imo, he should either have stayed or moved to a club where he would have still been the main man.
Barca has to be all about Messi or he has a little fit and threatens to leave. He does that anyway, so that he can get a better contract and/or change the manager, so I'm not sure why they bother. One of the best players of this generation, but clearly a complete prick. Dresses like there's something seriously wrong with him, too: please log in to view this image
I think he chose Barca as his wife has family living there. As I posted earlier, Barca's style of play doesn't suit Suarez's main strengths. He would have been better off at Real.
He wouldn't get in the team if he went to Real. Arsenal was probably his best bet, a big improvement on Liverpool and he'd still have been the main man in attack
If he was still at Liverpool there'd be a very good chance we'd finish above Arsenal for a 2nd season.
Arsenal have much better players than you though. I don't think there's any player in your team that would get in Arsenals team
No its just nice to talk to someone who has an ounce of sense and doesn't spent the whole day wumming. I don't think I've spoken to a united fan on here who isn't a complete bell-end.

Suarez was at his most effective when counterattacking. Our game is more end to end than in Spain. Over there defences sit deeper and teams have to break them down. He's also a smaller fish in a bigger pond. He was the player every Liverpool player looked to find with the ball. So he got plenty of possession. Now he's second fiddle to Messi. And the way Barca play means that he's a lot more static, expected to play short passes, receive the ball and pass again. Tippy-tappy is not his game. So he doesn't get the same opportunities.
We didn't always play counter attacking footy but yes he is effective when we did. I agree, he is more suited to a high impact fast game.
No. Suarez was brilliant for Liverpool and to say he wasn't would be like saying Torres wasn't brilliant for Liverpool.
Can't stand the bloke, but anyone who knows anything about Barcelona knows that ANY new arrival will always be second fiddle in their first season. It's just the way things are with Barcelona, you have to work and graft your way into the first team and then you'll receive the passes and become more involved as your career goes on. Provided he hasn't bitten anyone or questioned their racial heritage, and therefore isn't banned for his second season, we'll be able to judge him properly. Until then it's a little unfair on him (for once).
