Tired debate? No our club has some class, and would never associate ourselves with a racist. LVG can have whatever opinion he wants to have on the fella, but there is no way the board would sanction any move for the player. As it happens I think LVG is smart enough to realise that Suarez would not be a popular signing with supporters

Very true jb, but the FA didn't believe what Wrighty heard the keeper say, and Lord Buckfast told the FA that Schmeichel wasn't a racist and the FA decided the Arsenal player was telling porkies. They even gave a job to a parolee that had done time for printing thousands of £20 notes.
Abit of adultery, it hardly compares to being a racist. It wasn't so much the incident that affected Liverpools reputation it was the actions of the whole squad, and that buffoon of a manager getting the whole team out in Luis Suarez T Shirts in support of a man who then went on to admit he used the N word against Evra. Funnily enough there was never any sort of apology from any one at the club for openly supporting a racist. Then it got even worse, I know Man Utd players don't get a good reception at Anfield. However Evra was then singled out in games by Liverpool supporters for boos and jeers. Now I have no issue with you guys booing us normally, but Evra never got singled out before. So Liverpool supporters only targeted the guy because he dared to report being racially abused. It just goes to show that a large section of the crowd at Anfield are racists too. They say kick racism out of football, so why haven't Liverpool been kicked out of football?

So Ian Wright was lying?, funny how he never got done for trying to stitch Schmeicel up. The major factor at the FA during the case was their fear of Ferguson, once he'd said Schmeicel was innocent that was that.

The reason we don't want Suarez is because he's a proven racist, so I think using those 'cards' is relevant to the discussion. Either way Suarez is struggling at Barca which just goes to show he benefited from being a big fish in a small pond at Liverpool. So he wouldn't be that good for us
