That's nice We are struggling ATM to keep our CMs out of sick bay or free from injury ( no Hyam, Skuse or Bishop available today), just happy to get back to winning ways after the last couple of non performances
I think you could barely lose today tbh, no matter how you played, they are just dreadful and are well and truly gone this season. Had you lost to 'Wall', I think that would have been a sure sign of implosion.
This is absolutely classic! The Guardian have a 'championship round up' page - but there's a notable blue and white omission, as if you needed any clues! http://www.theguardian.com/football...p-norwich-alex-neil-cardiff-watford-charlton?
I think we could see a change in team selection for the starting 11 next week. Was it just me, or was Murphy poor when he came on??? I thought the officials were terrible. Hooper had got past the last defender and was being held back at one point, so surely that was more of a 'red card' offence than Howson's tackle was against Bournemouth!!!
Apparently the atmosphere was "crackling" in the first half. Just need the crowd to keep it up for the full 90
I thought the formation up front was bold and effective but we really missed Tettey's ability to read and break up attacks. The defence seemed to be exposed at times and Turner and Cuellar are not at their best when dealing with through balls and players running at them with pace. Murphy is not the finished article by any means (a bit like Redmond when he first arrived). He'll only improve through playing though. We also missed Lafferty's ability to track back and support Olsson after he went off. Josh needs to work on that, but it'll come.
I remember Keelan blocking a point blank shot with his chest to prevent QPR equalising. Brilliant crowd that day!
For anyone who missed it BBC's Football League Show last night had a feature on Alex Neil, you can watch again here on iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b050mbfl/the-football-league-show-20142015-17012015 I'm sure that most will not want to watch the 'hoofball' game at the beginning of the programme so fast forward to approx 29 mins
Brilliant stuff KIO, I was there too, great day! Nearly 40 years ago. I think this should go on the QPR board, rangerscol in particular remembers that day fondly!
Thanks KIO. I was lucky and had recorded the show, so was able to skip to the important part, but then I deleted it by mistake!!
I generally watch it on I Player the morning after, and skip to our game first, then watch the others if I have time.
Sensible articles and quotes from the match on Saturday - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...nd_half_stumble_in_cardiff_city_win_1_3921475 http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...eil_after_his_norwich_city_home_bow_1_3921477 “We had worked on things on the training ground, we knew all about what they would bring so, for me, it’s a case of people doing their jobs and competing,” he said. “We spoke about it afterwards and the guys knew themselves and put their hands up straight away. That is important. It is making sure that doesn’t creep into the next game and we eradicate those areas. I don’t think there was a great deal of other chances after they scored, the lad had a header that went back across goal, but three opportunities and two goals is a good ratio for them. “That will not happen every week. We need to limit those to being half-chances rather than the clear-cut ones they had. It’s only the start, I’ve worked with the players for three days and if I can get more like the first 60 minutes I will be pleased.”
Nothing that wasn't mentioned on here by the knowledgeable faithful. Conceding those two goals has to be seen as a blessing in disguise under the circumstances. In a month's time, it wont be.
