Thats why i stopped watching wwf/wwe about 7 years ago....when Cena became the be all and end all. Started watching TNA every week for about a year now, a bit better and less cringe worthy than wwe. Would be a good coup if Punk went to TNA.
I read via Lordsofpain.net that the WWE had realeased a statment saying that CM Punk is not a storyline, he is going at the end of his contract, and they will not be instantly resigning him to dodge the fact they are lying. I think the statment was made to a gay rights movment in responce to their outrage at essentially nothing. It could all be a work but I have a nasty feeling he is actually going and John Cena will just win..... again.
I used to watch ECW when their shows were still being released a decade ago, and these days watch ROH more than WWE or (especially) TNA. Mainly because I find WWE's product ruins every good idea it has (usually because it involves Cena or Orton squashing it), whilst TNA seems to exist to make me hate wrestling.
TNA isnt cringeworthy? Have seen the **** Sting is doing, thats one of the most cringeworthy thing in years.
Sting actually makes an impressive Joker although still a little cringe worthy. Im hoping the love Destination X will get hopefully makes them consider taking back the 6 sided ring.
Del Rio won a triple threat match on RAW to become Number 1 contender, maybe Punk will beat Cena and Del Rio will demand his title then and there, win the belt to fulfil his 'destiny' and then the MITB cashes in and beats him. 4 WWE champions in 1 night !!!
The odds are that ADR will become Vince's proxy for Cena's next feud (if you can call Cena habitually going over somebody and making them look like **** a feud) - and I've got the terrible feeling Rey will win MITB and have yet another abysmal title reign, ratehr than the knee surgery he should've had 15 months ago. TNA not cringeworthy? That's up there with Neville Chamberlaine's "Peace in our time" comment...
TnA still looks buget I am afraid, Anderson is the only thing I rate on there show. I would like to see CM Punk jump ship as this could trigger some proper competition, TNA needs a top top WWE wrestler still in his prime to walk out on Vince and cross to the dark side. Not a hasbeen, not someone who was in WWE, but someone who is WWE now, then turns up on Impact. I would tune in to see Punk.
The problem with TNA is most of the people they get from the WWE are content to phone it in every week, Angle and Kenderson being the notable (and only) exceptions. I really doubt Punk will go to TNA - partly because he was sorely misused when he was there in 2003-4, but mainly because his argument with WWE is that he's not being treated like the top guy he clearly is, and that won't change if he jumped to TNA. On top of that, seeing friends of his like Samoa Joe and Homicide lose all motivation whilst on the TNA treadmill will serve as a good reminder why not to go there, again because they are/were sorely misused.
Anyone seen this week's RAW, CM Punk was amazing on the mic again (owned Cena and Vince), surely he can't really be leaving this Sunday.
