I think most for the most part, the rugby fans who hate us, do so because they're jealous of the high profile and popularity of football itself. Rugby isn't really a minority sport, until you compare it with football.
I think the attendances FC get will all be down to how well they do . Adam Pearson is just looking for excuses if FC get poor support this season .
Anyone who supports a club from elsewhere is a twat. Anyone who supports their local rugby club but a football club from elsewhere is an utter twat. Why do so many rugby fans feel the need to adopt a club from another city, other than their inadequacy? I have never seen a City fan who decided to support St Helens, Wigan or Leeds Rhinos because the local rugby clubs aren't doing well.
Rugby fans adopting clubs from other Cities ??....not so long back many of those "City fans" at the KC would have been wearing Leeds shirts (I used to sit near 3 or 4 at the KC) ....many more of our Premiership fans are actually really Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal & Chelsea fans, but come to the KC to watch the bigger clubs play The thing with Rugby League is that it's not so dictated by where you were born/live. I know loads of RL fans from Hull who support Bradford, Saints, Wigan, Leeds etc ......could be something to do with the way the RL brand is franchised ....who knows if Allam gets his way then Football could go the same way (although looking at the streets it already has with kids wearing Barca, Real Madrid shirts) Personally I enjoy Union.......never really lived there, but have worked there quite a bit & am a fan of Leicester Tigers
RL fans are no different to City fans, when playing well & getting into the top 6, playoffs & challenge cup final then FC (or KR) will have 3, 4, 5x more fans than when they are struggling in the bottom 4 City gates have fallen this year & continue to do so while we struggle, if relegated we will lose 5-6000, if we stay in the Championship a couple of seasons our gates will drop to around 13k & if we dropped any further we could easily end up around 7-8k In almost all sports your attendances will reflect success on the pitch
How come the Super League reported a yearly drop for the last three seasons. Attendances have decreased by 18.4% since 2012.
I want Hull FC ground into the dirt. Rovers can carry on. I'd like to see RL go back to semi pro. We need every sports fan in Hull to be backing us and not other sports.
As I said, anyone who supports a club from elsewhere is a twat. Never, ever, met someone from Hull who supports a rugby club from elsewhete. Have seen loads of inadequates walking around Hull wearing the shirts of other football clubs but never with the shirt of another rugby club.
So you'd like to see the people who rely upon working for these club to lose their jobs then would you. And you'd also be happy to see them struggle to pay their mortgage and possibly lose their house would you?
Has anybody seen the "Overthrow the SMC (KC Stadium)" page on fb? Some of the comments are quite funny & unfortunately, for them, highlights a few FC supporters to be ill informed, thick ****s.
