I hope they grow and I admire their vision and ambition.

But with all of this ‘free lifetime pass’ malarkey, if they do grow and climb the pyramid, virtually every **** in there will be in for free.

Or is there some small print on these lifetime passes?

Something like ‘lifetime’ being valued as in a life sentence for prison; or are they just made of a paper that will sufficiently degrade to render them invalid after a year or two.

I agree. I wish them every success.

I'm still waiting them to come to our school though where I work. They're said to be on their way around the schools but are currently held up? It's a great idea hooking the kids because if the club does take off, they'll have created a solid foundation to a fan base as many of them will be teenagers/early adults by the time thre promotions have fallen into place etc... I think it took AFC Wimbledon 10 years to make the rise.

Your almost right. The interest is because of another application to change the name of a football club. There will be even more interest if they get an opportunity to change the name again.

Before you ask I haven't been to see them play ... yet.

Obi, you seriously think that people are currently going to watch HU because of the name change at Hull City? You also think people will suddenly switch from HC to HU if our name IS changed?

    Wow.

Whatever its called, its in my DNA.

Doing what you're suggesting is akin to just swapping to a Man C, Man U or Liverpool. Different leagues sure, principle is the same. Makes me wonder if some people are just looking for an excuse to support a "successful team" and blame it on someone else.

<laugh> So St Andrews change their name to Hull United so thats who you will support in protest over a name change. ****ing hell.
Who owns their ground them or Hall Rd? If it takes off they'll kick Hall Rd out i suppose. A team thats played there for 40 or more years.

Anyway i used to play for Scully so they can **** off.

I talked to a lot of people yesterday who, like me, have never felt do distant and alienated from the club we love. The whole booting us out of our seats in east stand with a hefty increase, name change by stealth on our merchandise and **** New badge. It's not a happy club at present. Compare this to hull United where a family of four can get in for free and four drinks cost £4 total. You have the owner shaking your hand on the way in and city legend Ian ashbee getting involved. You feel valued as a customer not an annoyance with someone wishing you would die. As hull United climb the league's the attendances and standard should increase and I wish them all the best.It renews my love for the game of football itself and reinforces what we all know, we haven't got football people at the helm of our club.

It is good to have a comparison on how different clubs treat you. City costs me a grand a year for pass and booze and you get treated like ****. Hull United costs next to nowt and you are treated like royalty. Same at ferriby when I go there. At what p point do you say enough is enough until the allams leave I'm not putting a penny more in? I think I'm close to that point now which is sad

How much is it at Ferriby? 12 quid!!! How much is a pint? Over 3 quid for a pint of Tetley. The ****ing rip off bastards only there to make a profit. Or.
They have to make ends meet and be competitive in a higher league.

Grass roots football's always been there. Why does all this Hull United crap suddenly open your eyes.

Could it be down to someone seeing a gap in the market with a lot of disillusioned customers at another club but no proper viable alternative in hull? Last post of the morning need to get ready for pub to watch the game later. All the best everyone i'd take a draw today

Unless the owner of Hull United is minted I think the whole 'Value for Money' and the free gimmicks will quickly wear off if the team climbs the leagues. Owners can only subsidise a football team for so long before the fans start paying for the successes seen on the field.

I fail to understand how someone can oppose Hull City changing to Hull Tigers by supporting Hull United who changed their name from St Andrews.

The very thought of a Hull City supporter stood watching any match chanting "United" is alien to my mind set!

Forgive me if I am wrong with this, but if you want to be greeted by Assem Allam at the KC, just turn up at the right time and he would willingly shake your hand and pose for a selfie with you.

Around 2,000 Manchester United fans gave up watching Manchester United and created FC United of Manchester. They recently raised £5 million to build their own ground. They turned their back on the most successful club team in the world because they no longer felt it was their club. Manchester United still fill Old Trafford but there are enough FC United fans to make it a success.

If Assem Allam gets his way then I can see a space in Hull for an AFC Hull City and I can see it surviving and moving up the amateur/semi-professional leagues.

As I've said before, its about community. If Assem Allam gets his way, he turns my football club into his limited company. If he does that I'll find an alternative community. The attendance at Hull United's last match shows I won't be on my own.

There's a long way to go before we get there, but Hull United are preparing for the future, a future which may well see thousands of City fans turning away from the club they supported for years, in some cases decades.

I have been asked many times if I'll still watch Hull Tigers. The answers is usually no, we can create our own team. I'd want to see a fan owned AFC Hull City. Whether that's achievable will depend on the supporters and the owner of Hull United.

What Hull United does show is that it is possible in Hull, like it was in South London and Manchester.

If the name change goes through and we get enough fans and money we can build our own stadium in Hull.

The first steps are always the hardest but Assem Allam is tilling the ground to make it possible.

Yes he would shake my hand but take 51 quid out my back pocket every month and rip my hull city badge off and replace it with 1904 and tell me I had to sit somewhere else this year and the price is going up thirty per cent and we don't care what the fa says it's hull tigers on everything and can you hurry up and die please
