Really? I don't think anyone seriously thought they'd get relegated after having £90m to spend in the transfer window compared to teams like Burnley, Leicester, Palace, WBA etc

Rubbish. Nearly everyone had the as favourites for the drop after losing five first team players and 'appearing' not to have replaced them.

Like the saying goes, anyone wishing to get a CL place will need to finish above Southampton or ( if they do finish third) just below them.

I think they must be favourites for a CL place (excluding City and Chelsea). There is no reason why they can't keep up with the pace. Reminds me a bit of us last season
