My heart leapt but. Well, a lucky lucky first goal and an 88th minute winner by us, total total rubbish. Fortunately Lloris did his job and this is only Sunderland, a team we should have thrashed. Our hold in the top five is very tenuous and we need to improve massively for the top teams.
We've won. Stand by for a week of complaints about how bad we are. This is the difference between winning and losing. If we win = complain, if we lose = complain.
Did you watch it, TMT? We totally dominated, but failed to kill them off. We lacked width until Townsend came on, but anything other than a win would've been the wrong result, for me.
We got the three points. Missing a variety of players, using our 5th choice centre-half and we were the better team and won. I wasn't happy with the way that we set up and it didn't work out, but the manager changed it and we won. Should've been more, both because we had a lot more chances than they did and we scored a perfectly good goal, but a win's a win.
If we hadn't have had that brilliant stroke of luck in the third minute we would have been 0-1 behind until the 88th minute..............to Sunderland. We didn't score more did we whether we should have or not PNP. If this is what we do against bottom clubs I dread to think what will happen against better opposition. Come on PNP, you CANNOT be happy with this.
You do realise that 2-1 on average is title winning form. Why do you expect the 6th most expensive team to be higher than 6th? We've got a lot of high potential young players who with the right coaching and support could turn into our best team ever. Don't be hard on them for only being a bit better than we paid for them now.
That has to rank close to Pedro's non goal at Old Trafford. Jan was so comfortably in our half when he received the ball that for that linesman to not see that he should be stripped of his position. Absolutely woeful officiating.
No Power it's not but very very late on in the match. That match is history and it's the future which matters. Since then we've lost to Palace, were behind against Burnley and scraped by today and Burnley have a habit of blowing leads.
If the offside had been given against Defoe, then we wouldn't have conceded. There are lots of ifs. We were much the better team and we won. I'd take that every week, even though we didn't do everything perfectly.
