Not sure Cheltenham is the ideal course for Dodging Bullets. But B365 are still offering 5/1 for the CC, and that sort of price about the Tingle Creek and Clarence House winner is madness frankly.
To save time, for the champion hurdle build up this year can we just copy last years world hurdle preview but swap Annie Power for Faugheen? We all know how that turned out..... TNO wasn't impressive today but what he did today was pretty irrelevant. Ground won't be like that at Cheltenham, he was never going to be fully wound up for today and yet his class still got him the win in the end.
absolute filth! ill do the cheltenham specials thread again this year and bullets will be on the list after last years beating ill be out for revenge and the username will once again be at risk
Shame he didn't win but it was a very satisfactory comeback run. I had a brief moment when I thought he was going to win and started cheering. Just waiting to hear the news that he eats up well and there are no ill effects.
The ground today was absolutely bottomless and when the ground is bad at Haydock, it is very bad. The way Faugheen jumps then i would also argue that if the ground is that bad that it would hinder him more than it would TNO
So Annie Power getting beat last year by More of That means Faugheen won't win. Same logic that because Pont Alexandre got stuffed in Neptune so Faugheen will do too. OK, got ya
The QM is looking a weak, weak renewal. Haven't a clue who'll win it but I wouldn't rule out SS, even if he could be a stone below what he was.
Champagne Fever? Pocket talking, I hope so cos I've put him in an antepost multiple. But disappointed with Ruby's comments on the Morning Line to be honest. He was asked about CF appearing in this and he responded that it depended on whether SS won impressively today. He went onto to say something along the lines of finding the worse race to win. I think CF is a very good horse and has a cracking record at Cheltenham. Disappoints me that the Closutton outfit, with such an outstanding arsenal at their disposal have such an attitude. It's a horse race at the end of the day and anything can happen. One thing is for certain though, if you don't line up you won't win. Mullins, Ricci and Walsh should fear no one and shouldn't give a flying **** what others are doing.
Merely making a point that every year its the same. We get everyone hyping up a Mullins hotpot that is 'unbeatable' and will win its race by half the track on the bridle yet it comes to the race and it gets beaten. Add Boston Bob in the Albert Bartlett a couple of years ago to that list too.
I'd be surprised should Fever win it tbh but took a wee bit of 12s after KG. His race is surely the Ryanair? Seems his trip. They pissed him about a bit trying to settle him to get a trip which just negated his natural talent ie running at a good clip and fast accurate fencing. Mullins doesn't lack in many divisions but he does in 2 milers so I expect we'll get a run for our money. I think Ricci and Mullins differ over targets as I'm pretty sure Willie would go Ryanair but Ricci wants the prestige of the QM...
Champagne Fever must run in the Champion Chase, its a poor race and he cant win anything else. Fever 8/1, Special Tiara 25/1 and Uxizandre 16/1 are the 3, the rest are Dundalk bound. Special Tiara for me.
