I read a roker report today that made quite a bit of sense, sorry, haven't got the link. The general gist of the article was making the most of Sess, and the fact that he would be wasted if played out on the left hand side of a 4-4-2. I completely agree with this standpoint, and in my opinion our team would look a hell of a lot more potent with Sess playing in the hole behind Gyan and Wickham (or another quality forward yet to be signed hopefully).

The big question is, with the players at our disposal could we get away with this type of formation?

I reckon he could do a job on the left as he can cut inside onto his right foot. However he did look very good in the hole behind the striker. I think though the only way that would happen is if we played one up front. If you had some form of diamond then Gardner wouldn't fit and we would need a left winger. If you had a 433 style then Larsson would be more central than usual.

It's a tricky situation but one I'm sure Bruce is happy to have. A choice of one of ligue 1's stars, the African player of the year and the football league's young player of the year as well as a 10 goal scoring midfielder and a freekick specialist!

Still praying we'll sign Krancjar or a similar player and I'd like to see something like this (provided the Man U lads come)...

    --------------GYAN--------------
    KRANCJAR ------------------- SESS

    -----COLBACK ------- GARDNER-----
    -------------- CATTS --------------

    BARDO -- TITUS -- BROWN -- O'SHEA

Think that would be a really, really strong team. It has steel, creativity and goals in midfield, and bundles of flair up front.

Personally I'd play elmo right back so we have even more going forward, but for some reason noone on here seems to rate him...

depends on a number of things, who is available, how we are playing at the time form wise and who we are playing and home or away

I think we will change between a 4/4/2 and a 4/2/3/1 with Sess behind a lone striker during the season that mainly used away and against the top sides at home.
