I have managed to County level. What I don't understand is the lack of balance our teams have had in the last year or two. Best 11 players rarely make the best team. Look at our Championship winning team. We certainly did not have the best 11 players in the league at the time, but they played for one another, made themselves difficult to beat, and a great balance
I pooh poohed it because IMO Sam hasn't worked at rb all this season or last. I then suggested Beradi at rb with Sam on the rhs of midfield. Freedom to get forward and can track back if needed. As I said it wasn't posted just to have a punch up. Btw you did realise my "pal" was ELLAND. We saw what we saw against Fulham and Byram was ****e all game at rb.
I applaud supporters who go to matches and are able to see the real way the team play. I don't get to matches due to location and other probs but like to read all the "different" opinions on here. As I said... we all make good managers
Not me. I make a good critic, the margins between success or failure seem so tight in this division. Ther no certainty that any team has the golden ticket to the big prize. I hate to say I prefer the championship to the pl as every team can win or lose every game.
Unfortunately we might be stuck with the championship instead of PL for a while. The PL is now a power base for very rich people to use as a power trip.
"The system worked well last week for the side we were playing. But we’ve got to look at the scenario, it’s us at home. - See more at: http://www.leedsunited.com/news/art...arn-a-massive-game-ahead#sthash.R7bvOXZm.dpuf comments from Redfearn on OS sounds like we may be deploying the diamond again. Oh dear
That's a good lineup for me, best we can muster at present. Go on Leeds, 3 points today could change everything come May.
If we play the diamond again Redders might as well just clear out his office now! Its so obviously not working.
The best teams are the noisiest teams, and we just seem so quiet on the pitch. More vocal players required, more leaders
I mentioned this in my Director of Football post last week, I don't think Cellino is picking the tactics. He has bought the players, and that has brought with it a shocking lack of width, which has basically forced our last 3 managers into deploying narrow formations. Redders got a little more experimental deploying Byram as a RM and finding someone to fill in on the left, and that seems to be a good system. He needs to keep the faith with such experimentation until we get proper wide players, otherwise we will continue to be over run, with far too much pressure on our questionable fullbacks. Don't get me wrong, I think Taylor will come good, but he is inexperienced at the minute, and doesn't need the pressure of every winger and full back doubling up on him every game. As for Byram at RB, we've already had discussion on that.
