Can Suarez handle the pressure of playing for a mega club?

He's struggled at a big club in Barca, just like he struggled in big games for LFC.

577 mins without a goal for Barcelona. He's obviously more talented than Torres, but are their similarities in that both players struggle playing for big clubs that are expected to win every week and win trophies too?

    Yes

But then he's hardly alone in that regard. If the average Liverpool fan's rating of their players was accurate, they'd have more PL titles than Utd and Chelsea combined by now...

Torres was great for Liverpool, **** at Chelsea and looking good again at Atletico.

He's clearly a quality player, that's why the chavs paid £50m for him. Although that turned out to be a massive waste as he was ****house at Chelsea.

Maybe along with Suarez, Liverpool just bring out the best in their players.

Torres injury is what caused his decline he never recovered his pace something that he heavily relied on. Suarez is a quality player and if used correctly he would be great in any team I would compare his situation to Mata at Chelsea, he is obviously a talented player but did not fit the ethos and formation that Jose had in mind. Put Suarez into a team where he plays as the main man and he'll be brilliant again.

Do you think he should play up top instead of Messi?
His workrate and movement should make room for Messi even starting on the right.
Did he play up top as the main man last season, or was he behind Sturridge?

I do think he should play up top just like he did for us, he would then have a free role and the 3 forwards would interchange depending on where Suarez went, it would suit Messi and the Neymar or whoever else is playing in the front 3.

    On most occasions we played.......

    Studge---------Sterling
    ----------Suarez

But the rotation was so heavy than any of them could rotate into any position but it did seem to be orchestrated by Suarez and he's now restricted and not able to do that at Barca.

On the comment on big games, Suarez didn't get goals in a lot of them but that was because he was so heavily marked. But it suited us as it would free up the other 2 and we would win.

At times yes when we played

    ---------Coutinho---------
    Suarez-------------Studge

    ----------Sterling---------
    Studge-------------Suarez

    or even..............

    ----------Suarez------------
    Studge--------------Sterling

I could go on but I'm now depressed thinking about or current options. <wah>

  9. I don't think the Mousers overrated Goofy when he was at LFC, because he was their entire team. Without him, no way would they have been anywhere near top 4 (which is being proven since he's left). However, any Mouser who believes he is, now, the same player he was back then, is overrating him.

I always said that he was going to give his best season to 'Pool, for the simple reason that he was playing to prove something. Now that he has nothing to prove, he's a shadow of that player. He didn't do it for 'Pool, either; he did it all for himself.

Barca play a different kind of game to L'pool. Suarez is more suited to the fast, high pressing, counter attacking game that Pool played last year. The buildup in Spain is generally much slower.

No doubt Suarez is a top player, IMO. But firstly, he will take time to settle. Secondly, he was top dog at Pool, at Barca he's very much in Messi's shadow.

Rat face is a good player, in a smaller team like the Dippers, but at a giant like Barca, he is just a so so player

Looking good again at Atletico <laugh>, he's played 1 game! Torres turned **** just before the 2010 world cup and we stupidly bought him probably because he bagged a brace against us.

Obviously give Bitey a chance but should Barca have kept Sanchez and avoided Suarez?
