'What do you mean WAS a centreback, I AM a centreback....' A Roy Keane interview moment if ever there was one
if Dawson is fit I would imagine he`ll play, and give Carroll something to worry about, I honestly don`t know what to think about this game tbh, it may suit us to be the complete underdogs, with no strike force to speak of, I have the feeling we`ll either get royally shafted, or we may come away with a surprise result. I suspect it will be the former, but got that sneaky feeling we may just get something. Be nice to see Ramirez fit and play and exploit them on the break, here`s hoping.
Yea but people are saying they are not ready yet for first team football. They must really not be ready if we play everyone in your list upfront before them.
Id think most people on this forum wish they had played league 2 so I wouldnt call them ****. They just might not be up to PL standard.
nah they'll almost end up in the lower doldrums of english football our setup is pathetic i mean our training ground is akin to a league 2 club..
This would be soooooo funny, especially if he started and nicked a goal or two, it may quieten a few of the doubters, those that would seemingly prefer to see Ramirez and Aluko play up front. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...triker-West/story-25877941-detail/story.html? Steve Bruce says he will consider starting Harry Maguire as a makeshift centre-forward whenHull City travel to West Ham United with a badly depleted attack tomorrow. The injury-hit Tigers will be without their first-choice strike pairing after losing both Nikica Jelavic and Abel Hernandez in a damaging 1-0 loss at West Brom last weekend. Sone Aluko and Gaston Ramirez could counter that loss with timely returns of their own at Upton Park, but beyond that Bruce’s options are limited to Tom Ince, Robbie Brady and Yannick Sagbo, a trio who have yet to score in the Premier League this season. The search for a more physical alternative has led Bruce cautiously to Maguire. Although the 21-year-old has been reared as an orthodox centre-back, he scored 11 goals for Sheffield United in the two seasons that preceded his £2.5m to the KC Stadium last July. Maguire’s occasional appearances in the Blades’ attack, when pushed up late in games such as the FA Cup semi-final defeat to City at Wembley, have given Bruce food for thought as he plans for a tricky test in East London. “We’ve looked at Harry Maguire because we know he’s played there for Sheffield United,” said Bruce. “He scored a lot of goals last year. It’s a big ask for him (to play up front) but it could happen. “We’ve seen it before, we used to see it all the time in my day. I used to play there occasionally. I was hopeless, mind. “Harry can play. He’s done it before at a lower level but up here (points at head) it’s unfair on the kid. “It’s hard enough playing in the Premier League without playing out of position.” Bruce admits he has experimented in training this week with Maguire up front but there appears to be only a small chance of the defender making a Premier League debut in attack. The pairing of Aluko and Ramirez, one that inspired a 3-1 win at Sunderland on Boxing Day, is favourite to start if both can prove their fitness, but Bruce also raised the prospect of using Stephen Quinn in the same support role he was given in the FA Cup final. He said: “We’ll have some sort of solution. People frowned when I played Aluko and Ramirez together at Sunderland but we scored three times. “You’re always worried (for their fitness), especially this year. Have they done enough? Are they undercooked? Are they going to break down? “Unfortunately that can happen. We’ll not do much in the two days before the game so we’ll see how they are physically. “There’s obviously Yannick, little Quinny played there off the front in the FA Cup final, we’ve got a few for that role. We haven’t got too much more beyond that. “I don’t think we have had it so bad with injuries. One thing you can’t do is use it as an excuse. “Of course we look at training methods and this and the other but they have all happened in games and there is sod all you can do about that. It is frustrating, I have to tell you.”
i've ****ed ellie goulding, but always fancied cameron diaz, although as a kid, my favourite girl ever was kate winslet, after titanic oooh rawr
McG Elmo Chezzy Dawson Brady Huddlestone Livermore Aluko Ramirez Ince Sagbo Aluko and Ince will actually get in the box to create the threat making the most of Sagbo's hold up play. Use Sagbo almost as a false 9 rather than a centre forward, set up similar to how Pulis had Palace playing last season n with Sagbo taking by the Chamakh role, which he has the qualities for as we saw in the 6 months he actually played for us, Aluko and ince can run beyond him and Elmo and Brady will offer the width. It's the best we can do for now without rolling over to have our bellies tickled.
don't agree sunderland away, we had the perfect performance, i'd start that same team aluko actually played insane, just his running, pressing the team, meyler was like a man possessed otherwise west ham will just outplay us, and they have incredible forwards
