Emmanuel Adebayor, he must be on at least 80k, if not 100k? Pay 60k of his wages (Ben Arfa's wage) and a decent loan fee and we should be able to get him, if he is available that is?

Then pick up a youngster from league 1 or 2 and our spending should be done.

22 appearances and ten goals so far this season, I can't see him being available.

The thing is when managers come out with these things you never know if its true or if they just want a bigger transfer/loan fee

I love the way it's suddenly apparently no big deal to chuck £60k a week at a loan striker.

I'm not sure how wise that is. We haven't got any oligarchs on the Board quite yet.

Are you still trying to 'Bandy about' your English reading book service. Remember that time you wanted to meet me in Linnet car park and have a Literacy hour. Good times.

It all comes down to risk analysis. £60k pw for 6 months is £1.5m. How much more likely are you to stay up with that £60k pw striker? Bear in mind every place you finish higher up the league is worth more than £1.5m (ie. they pay their way even if you finish 18th instead of 19th).

Similarly, it's fire and forget (you don't get stuck with a £60k pw striker should you go down).

I always think you should spend as much as is required to get the best manager you can. Assuming they don't require a multi-billion war chest, they'll provide you a better return than a quality player who might get injured for the season in their first game (seem to have gone off at a tangent here).

His work permit hasn't actually been confirmed, but the FA have given their backing to the move. It's doubtful he'll be ready to play by tomorrow, they'd have to get it done by 12pm.

I think it's quite a good signing for them, if not a little pricey considering he's not played at this level.

Considering McGregor came from one of the top leagues in turkey and hasn't looked like a decent GK for me yet! I'd stay away!

Really? I'd say hes an average keeper, Championship/ Bottom Premier League standard. I'd say out of the the first choice keepers in the Prem he would be in the bottom 5.

Good question, off the top of my head I'd say hes a better keeper than, Heaton and Fabianski, so I will revise my list and say 3rd worst first choice keeper in the league.

Geatede, has been withdrawn from Blackburn squad tomorrow although he's fit to play.

Add to them: Szczesny, Mignolet/Jones, Guzan and Speroni definately. I'd also think he's better than quite a few others such as Green, Schmeichel, Pantilimon, etc. although that's a matter of opinion more. I think McGregor has been one of our few successes over the one and a half seasons in the Premier League. He saves most penalties and stops the vast majority of shots and has the confidence of the defenders.
